But when you want to have your cake and eat it too; when you want to play nice and be welcomed by the community under one name while race-baiting,gay-baiting, making inflammatory statements, trolling, dropping N-bombs and stirring a witches-brew of trouble under your other 12 names (or 24....or 48)...then you've gone too far. This is a community that welcomes dissent, often fierce. It's an unmoderated free-speech community and that means it's up to us to police our own borders and pick up our own trash.
For this reason, I have decided to do the necessary, monotonous spade-work of exposing one of Lit's foremost, most incorrigible alts and trolls. A poster who has the audacity to walk among us every day as if he were not responsible for a lion's share of the troublemaking that has made this board insufferable to many of the interesting, intelligent people who once posted here. The GB has become the Craigslist "Rant" section and today, I present to you one reason why.

My initial intent was to establish a firm link between Beco & Faneros, and Cade-the premier racial troll of the GB. In this, I was unsuccessful. However, I can now claim that I am the General Board's-if not the world's-leading expert on one of the most insipid topics known to mankind: the posting style of Beco and his alts.
I have left no stone unturned in an attempt to obliterate Beco/Faneros as a viable GB poster.
Like the BTK and the Zodiac Killer, Beco is slipshod and lazy in his alting. As in the case of those well-known criminals, one might surmise that he's addicted to the danger of being caught. He enjoys slipping in the occasional "red herring" and even accusing himself; all by way of gaslighting, sowing confusion and thumbing his nose at the GB.
A Note On Methodology:
The "smoking gun" portion of my case relies heavily on shared mis-spellings. A shared common mis-spelling like "friggen" or "cocain" proves nothing. A search on a word like this can return 500 hits. Certain words are commonly spelled wrong. However, the presence of more than one name from the suspect list in those 500 hits should raise at least an eyebrow of suspicion.
When a search on a strangely spelled word turns up 10 names, out of the tens--if not hundreds-- of thousands of registered Lit users....and two or three of those names are on a previous suspect list, then suspicion turns to certainty. Multiply this phenomenon several times and you have the heart of my case.
However, this method relies heavily on the pre-existing suspect list, which is built up from many factors; be they quirks of typography and orthography, an obsession with certain topics, an obsession with certain posters, accusations made by other posters, the presence of one alt in a thread made by another (one of Beco's signature moves), or in a thread with a certain topic. In other words, the farrago of small pieces of evidence that detectives use to make a case.
Many of the alts were on the suspect list to begin with for nothing more than a combination of the following: same style, posting in his threads, or threads about him, or threads about typical topics of his, like Sean and Rory, or "fat chicks", etc. When suspects are then linked by a shared misspelling (fallenangel2 is a prime example here), one sees the value of the circumstantial evidence.

I don't know what it means, although it evidently has something to do with Hindus, and I only caught it because I read a lot of Beco posts. Suffice it to say, it's a weird thing to say and the fact that I found three alts on the suspect list using it is quite enough.

A search on the word "annyoying" turns up the following posters: Faneros, CharleyH, JackHarrison, Colleen Thomas, Blow_This, Beco, CloseNTime and Morgoth. 8 Out of about 200,000 registered users misspelling a word this way and three of them happen to be alt suspects for totally different reasons.

File this one under 'additional evidence. "Cocain" is a fairly common mis-spelling. A search returns 67 hits (some of which are quotations of other posts). Strangely, or perhaps not so strangely, Faneros and Beco both turn up....repeatedly. Again, keep in mind that this is out of a background of thousands and thousands of registered lit users who might use that spelling.
