George Carlin - R.I.P.

George was one of a kind. Surprised he lived as long as he did.
 
I think what I liked most about him is he never talked down to his audience. He always assumed they had a brain that did more than took up space in their heads.
 
As a child I listened to Bill Cosby a lot. He could be really funny without being a potty mouth.
 
I totally missed this in the news. He is one of my faves. Says what he thinks, and yes, expected you to be intelligent enough to get his jokes. He will be missed.

Yes. I think he really trailblazed the way for anyone who does standup that's not the same old airline routines. One of the greats. If he and Pryor are on a bill in the afterworld, I want to be in the according partitioned part.

Well, George followed Lenny Bruce. Lenny was getting arrested back in 1961.
 
Any guy who can work out a career that spans from the "Seven Words You Can't Say on Television" bit to being "Mr. Conductor" has my utmost respect. And he did it all with a mind that assumed we had one as well.
