I have a few ideas for a Zelda rp, but before I go into detail on any of them, first I must ask if anyone would be interested in such a game? I would construct the first story arc in a way that would unite a large group of characters, and those chars could be of almost any background related to a magical fantasy world. If this game does catch the fancy of several players, my next post would detail out the game, but I would limit it to a few paragraphs instead of the novel-length intros I'm famous for. Also, suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

I was also thinking we could do something where the Triforce calls out to the Disciples of Light and the Scions of Darkness -- good chars and evil chars. The Triforce could have been created originally to combat the evil lord Ganon, many centuries ago. Now, his descendant -- Ganondorf -- has captured the Triforce of Power. The Triforce of Wisdom has been passed down through each generation of the Hylian Royal Family, and now Princess Zelda has it. Upon the capture of the Triforce of Power, Princess Zelda becomes aware and uses the Triforce of Wisdom to locate the Triforce of Courage. However, she finds out that only descendants of Lord Gladius, the Legendary Golden Knight, can access the Garden of Faith and the Hall of Destiny, which both lie deep within the Forest of Hope. This is because he is the one who locked the Triforce of Courage away. So, using the Triforce of Wisdom, Zelda calls out to the descendants of Gladius -- the Disciples of Light. Sensing this through the Triforce of Power, Ganondorf uses it to call out for the other descendants of Ganon -- the Scions of Darkness. At some point, they can find legendary weapons for each character, as well as other items.

Hyrule is a land with many races, and Hylian refers not to a race, but of a nationality. However, the Hylian Royal Family is mostly comprised of elves. There are a few half-elves and quarter-elves in the history books, a result of a Royal Family member marrying a human. It is difficult to say rather the current Family members are pureblooded elves or not, but it doesn't really matter anyway. The characters can be of any race: Gladius had produced five sons before he died, who in turn had several children each, and so on and so forth. Gladius lived seven hundred years ago, so in all those generations, it's very possible some of his descendants mixed with other races. The same goes for Ganon, who had produced three sons and a daughter before his final battle with Gladius. However, Ganon's oldest son, Almach, summoned the Triforce of Power to himself before Gladius could take it from Ganon's corpse. He hid it away in a place only he knew of, and wrote it on a scroll, but told no one. His plan was to keep it hidden until Gladius died and then retrieve it and continue his father's war, but he himself died of a sudden bash to the skull after falling from a cliff. No one knew where he hid the Triforce of Power until Ganondorf found it seven hundred years later after discovering the scroll in a chest buried beneath the ruins of Ganon's ancient estate. He was looking for clues to his heritage after releasing who he was descended from, and stumbled upon the chest with the scroll.

I'm playing Link, King Rhodus (Zelda's father), and Ganondorf as of right now. Girls, you can also play other princesses -- Zelda's sisters. Guys, you could play Princes -- Zelda's brothers.

Well, there is no real way to describe them -- they are descendans of Ganon and Gladius. Until Ganondorf/Zelda calls to them, they have no idea they are Scions/Disciples.

Characters can be Princes/Princesses, Priests/Priestesses, thieves, wizards, druids, warriors, etc. The main religion in Hyrule is the Church of Luna. Most portray their goddess as a silver-haired maiden in a white gown, always smiling. It is believed that Lady Luna resides in the Sacred Realm, where all righteous souls go. There are churches, temples, and cathedrals all over Hyrule, dedicated to Lady Luna.

Also, Hyrule is just one continent among many. After we do several story arcs in Hyrule, we can take a ship and sail the seas to other places and adventures.

I'm intersted. Something I'm wonder about though is is there a particular Zelda game you are basing this on. I'm most familiar with Ocarina of Time myself.

As long as its not based off the terrible, horrible animated show they attempted in the late 80's/early 90's, I'll take Zelda, sure.

No, it's not based off the crappy show with the Attitude Link, lol. And I'm not really basing this on any game in particular, but using things from several games. Once we get a few more players, I'll get a map up and a little more info.

Hehehe.. Ok. Of course, now that I've referenced it, I'm kinda intersted in Spryte too.
She was the fairie that was obsessed with Link in that show.

Is it bad that I remember it that well???

I was thinking they enter the Garden of Faith, but they can't enter the Hall of Destiny without the three Crystal Keys. To get the Keys, they have to locate the three Star Towers.
Tower of the Red Star: The Ruby Crystal Key
Tower of the Blue Star: The Sapphire Crystal Key
Tower of the Green Star: The Emerald Crystal Key
Then they can use these keys to get into the Hall and get the Triforce of Courage, which will give extra powers to whoever holds it. Maybe they decide to break it up so that each character gets a piece and a little extra power?

Later on, maybe the three Triforces are united to form the Ultimate Triforce, but then somehow it's shattered into 100 pieces and scattered all over the world. This could be a super long story arc that takes them across the seas and to other lands.
