Furthermore, they are taking the whole story, not just Page 1. :confused: I am sending this link to Laurel too. If you want to find how many they have ripped off of yours, just google your name or the name of one of your stories. They do, at least, give credit to the author.

In fact, they give me too much credit. Some of the stories listed as being by me are things I have never heard of.
 
Can't seem to find anything of mine. But my google skills really suck so that's not surprising.

What would be the advantage in posting them under their 'own label'?

You have to use the website's search and search in 'Stories'.

Lol, not only do they have some, if not all, of my stories, but they also have all of the stories where my name is credited as the editor of aforementioned story.:D

They have 136 of mine and/or stories in which I am mentioned as a character e.g. The Literotica Olympics chain story.

This issue was raised earlier. AskJolene is a search engine. When I searched 'jomar' and clicked on a story it linked to the Literotica based story.

This one has been mentioned before in a thread here, but we more or less dismissed it as a search engine that only linked back to Lit. At least in Box's case, the stories are posted on this website with no links back to Lit at all.

Doing a few other searches on author names, I keep coming up with nothing but Lit links. Digging into the categories showed a few names I recognized ( DirtyAliceBlack for one ) posted on that website, so may be worth a check.

You might try contacting the website to see if they'll take them down. Every so often, it actually works.
 
I get taken back to Lit on my stories. Box, this seems to be a search engine that just links us back to Lit. I don't know if this constitutes Theft. Otherwise, google and yahoo and such would be theft as well.

Mine link back to lit, as well, but Box's are actually up their site, in full. NOT linked back to lit. That makes it not just a search engine.

Box - let us know what laurel says, please.

:eek: How odd! Does this seem strange to anyone else that these people would have both? I mean, why lift and steal stories that you're linked to (on Lit) wholesale to your own site? :confused:
 
I don't know why they would do that. When I click on the link above, it takes me to an index of my stories or stories they say are mine (252 in all). There is no reference to Lit. except for the last paragraph, when I mention how authors here, ncluding myself, like to get feedback and PC and opinions and votes. :confused:

It does have links to Adult Friend Finder. I think everything has links to them. :D

ETA: I PMed Laurel this morning. I will let you know what she has to say.

Hmmm... considering Box sees stories under his name that aren't his, maybe they were added by someone else. I never registered, but maybe there's an option to upload your stories to the website, and we're looking at a user instead of the website operator.

ezackly what i was going to say!

This site is a search engine and they've added blog hosting and a place to submit stories. Someone is an imposter, Box-- you've arrived!

I remember a couple of instances like this, where one person lifted content and posted it as their own.
 
I just checked. The same ones are still there and they still link back to Lit.
 
I would have no objection if the stories linked back here. If somebody comes to Lit. and reads one of my stories and wanks or frigs, OR goes to Jolene and comes from there to Lit. and reads one of my stories and wanks or frigs, it's pretty much the same with me. :cool: I do like to get credit for inducing them to wank or frig, and I do like to know their opinion of the story, but I can get by without that. :D

As far as I can see, Jolene is a website that sells advertising, much like this one, except they steal the stories they post to attract viewers and advertisers. :mad:

The stories that are under my name but not written by me seem okay. They are more character driven than mine, which are mostly action driven, but okay. Even so, I don't like having somebody rip off my bad name. :mad:

I would suggest going through the list of stories attributed to you, saving the links to the ones that are yours, and then going through Lit and note the links for the original location of the story, then dump it all on the webmaster of askjolene, saying you're not happy with someone else posting your work without permission.

I'm really of a mind that we're dealing with a user more than the website here, and it may very well be that the thief will get deleted in short order once an alert goes out.

As an erotic story search engine, the thing actually performs pretty well and most of the results are Lit. Pretty good advertising, really.

This would be a collossal chore. :eek: They have at least 240 of my storiesd there. There are 252 listed, but some are not mine. :(

Select a few links to demonstrate, and then list the ones that aren't yours. A few links should be enough to prove they're yours.

Rightclick on the page, and choose "veiw source" Copy and paste-- you will have all of the urls (along with a whole lot of stuff you don't need and can delete)

You can do the same on your lit submissions page.:)
