Teen Titans Go! GenderBender AU style!

Okay, the general idea of this RP, as you can tell, is basically taking the Teen Titans and gender-bending them and putting them into adult situations. I have fallen in love with gender-bending, I even do it to my original characters, and there’s been a thing going on the nets about the Titans being the opposite genders than what they were intended to be.

The RP is open to all, though I wish for people to enter their characters here or at least claim the ones that they wish to use. I love comedy, if you wish to lean more towards the cartoon or anime version of the Titans, though the original comic version is a lot more serious with darker tones. We could make this RP a mixture of both, so all can feel comfortable in the playing field.

It is a AU, after all, that and the gender-bending issue does change things for the characters. …I’ll show you with my character I’ll be choosing.

Name: Beast Girl (Geraldine Logan)
Age: 18
Race: part demon and part mutant
Personality: Happy-go-lucky. She hides behind a smile and a joke, while deep down she is perhaps the saddest member of the team… And she can’t exactly remember everything to know why she feels that way. Note to all, her demon side is violent and blood thirsty, especially as she gets older.

Appearance: She wears a skin-tight black and purple outfit, which is that of a tank top with an opening in the shape of a paw, and tight pants. She wears boots that go all the way up to her knees, which buckle up and make paw prints with each step thanks to the pattern under her boot. She also has armbands which also have buckles and are striped, and she also wears gloves which cover up unusual markings on her hands (well, they are not unusual, they are pentacles with ancient codes or symbols). Her green hair is long and she leaves it down. She is more cat-like in appearance than (the original Beast Boy) human looking. She also has tattoos, there's one seen that's a paw print, while the others remain a mystery. Her demon form has a tail, horns, and wings of green fire. In fact, everything about her in that form is a very eerie appearance as she glows a sinister green. However, no one knows of this form, not even herself for she doesn’t even recall anything about it.

Powers: Her known powers is that of transforming into any animal, and I mean any animal, even if it’s an extraterrestrial or something from hell itself. Her demon powers go unknown for the most part, but she does so far have the power to raise the dead, to open portals, to be in this world and in the other, to communicate with the dead, the power to blow a city up, power to incinerate anything with her mind, and pretty much the ability to summon powers, strengths, or abilities from hell… Her demon form also seems to carry around a powerful scythe, while her known form has no such weapons.

Beast Girl’s past is somewhat similar to that of Beast Boy’s, only her past is a bit different. Actually, a lot different. Instead of being human to begin with, she never was. Her parents had “died” a long time ago when she was nothing more than a little child. Her mother was a demon, while her father was a mutant (a human evolved with superpowers). She lived with her father for the most part, he was the one who had taken care of her after her mother disappeared, which is why the word “died” is in quotes. No one knows for sure what happened to her, but rumor has it she was destroyed after she had left the baby in the custody of her father to keep her safe from evil. Years later, her father died a tragic death, a death which little Geraldine believed she could have prevented, especially when all of the blame fell upon her shoulders. To her, everything’s her fault, that accusation started when she was little and followed her all the day of her life until now. One of the many things she was accused of was destroying a city in South Africa, which happened because of the loss of control over her powers after they were provoked by her childhood peers who bullied her for being so different. Her father’s attorney had put her in a safe house for a time, hoping to gain control over her once she had learned to settle herself down (her nightmares were part of the blame). However, after a few months of solitary and actually being kicked out after a few incidents, she moved back into the her father’s estate, whom the attorney had more than willingly made himself at home. The girl then faced abuse. He would yell at her, tell her all her flaws and blame her for everything, and at worst he would wring her arms, hit, tossed, and pushed her around. Having enough, the girl ran away, especially when she found out that he was planning to kill her in hopes of claiming everything that was belonged to her. He sent hired villains to capture her and tear her apart, chasing her relentlessly for days and nights. That’s when she finally bumped into the Doom Patrol, who legally adopted her and made her part of their team, that is after they defeated the ones that wanted to destroy her. It didn’t take them too long to discover the powers that the girl possessed, that and the problems she had in controlling it. What’s worse was that they witnessed the girl’s dreams becoming worse each night, and after each night, she became more and more powerful. To fix this, they decided to help her by repressing her demon side, keeping it at bay locked behind a barrier of some sort. This of course, rid her of her demon tail and her horns and even wings, allowing her to only remain green and have pointy years and to have the powers of transforming only into animals. Also, the repression caused her some memory loss, so she knows nothing of her “darker side”, and since the demon in her had no affects upon her anymore, she became happier and everything was shoved into the past. Years past and she was recruited as a Titan by none other than that of (the GB version of Raven). A few years later, she faced The Brother Hood of Evil and was the one mainly responsible for their defeat. Not too long after that, however, the Doom Patrol actually died and this time they wouldn't be coming back...

Sexuality: The girl says she’s straight, but she doesn’t even know herself. Pretty much, she’s had her crushes, but so far none of her love has returned to her.
Lover/Crush: She always had a major crush on (GB version of Raven), however, when (GB version of Terra) entered the story, she fell for him as well. She, however, started leaning towards (Terra) since he was the on who seemed to give her the attention she was craving. She honestly believed he had the same feelings for her. But alas, a tragic ending. It was all a lie. To be honest, the girl wasn’t sure she actually loved him, but cried for him anyway, especially when he broke her heart three times. She still loves (Raven), but is so afraid to come out and admit it, especially since she believes that he hates her. She believes she has no chance in hell with him!
Likes: (Raven), partying, pranks, jokes, smiles, animals, socializing, being accepted, happy...
Dislikes: Being let down, being bullied, hurt, being ignored, not being accepted, etc.

Name:Korand'r (Kor for short) "Sunfire"

Race:Tamaranean
Personality:Easy-going and pretty bubbly. He's always trying to help his friends and enjoys exploring new things. He's rather niave about some things, trying always to see the best in people. Even when betrayed he is more than likely willing to help you if you honestly need it. He's still trying to get the knack of human speech and so some things come out wrong.. He seems to freely express his emotions now, but in his culture to show kindness is to show weakness and mindful of that, he keeps his personal problems to himself.

Powers: He can shoot starbolts, fly, has super strength, and at some points he can release an extreme burst of energy, quite similar to a bomb in power, but faints soon after because it drains him so much. Needless to say that is usually a last resort.

Past: Korand'r is a prince of the planet Tamaran, and was in line to rule the planet as King. Komand'r (also known as Blackfire), his older brother, developed a bitter rivalry with him after suffering a disease in infancy that robbed him of the ability to fly and, by extension, his right to the throne. This rivalry continued and intensified when the siblings were sent for warrior training with the Warlords of Okaara. Things came to a head during a sparring exercise in which Komand'r attempted to kill his brother. As a result, Komand'r was expelled and he swore vengeance.

That revenge came to fruitation when Komand'r betrayed his planet with detailed information about Tamaran's defenses to their enemies, the Citadel. They conquered Tamaran with ease, and the surrender conditions included the enslavement of Korand'r who was never permitted to return, since that would mean the Citadel would devastate the planet for abrogating the treaty.

To Korand'r's horror, he learned that Komand'r was his master; Korand'r's older brother made the most of his sibling's bondage with years of horrific servitude and torture. When Korand'r killed one of his rapists, Komand'r decided to execute him as punishment, but the brothers were attacked and captured by the Psions.

Psions, a group of sadistic alien scientists, performed a deadly experiment on both brothers to see how much energy their Tamaranean bodies could absorb before exploding from the overload. During the procedure, Komand'r's forces attacked the Psion ship to rescue him. While the Psions were distracted, Korand'r broke free using his starbolts - destructive blasts of solar energy - which were a result of the experimentation.

Against his better judgment, he decided to free Komand'r, who was still absorbing energy. However, far from grateful, Komand'r struck his brother down with the same, but more intense, power, and had him restrained for later execution.

Korand'r escaped by attacking one of the guards and stole a spacecraft to flee to the nearest planet, Earth, where he met Robin(Robyn?) and the other members of the Teen Titans. Unfortunately he was at a loss when understanding any Earth language and kissed Robyn in order to absorb the language and communicate properly. Needless to say she was not very happy about the impromptu pseudo-seduction.

He also has a long-time missing sister, Wildfire.

Sexuality: Straight. Though he views the body as beautiful no matter the sex.
Lover/Crush: Robyn...though he has an infatuation with Aqualass.
Likes: Mustard, mint ice cream, tofu, card games, hanging out with his friends.

I was waiting for someone to start a new Teen Titans thread. If it wasn't a genderbending series, I'd quickly snatch up the Conner version of Superboy since I have a soft spot for the Young Justice alumni. Maybe I can cheat and play a male version of Supergirl who just happens to be named Conner, acts just like him and has the same origin story?

Okay, maybe that wouldn't be fair. lol

But I like genderbending superhero threads. There were a couple in the past which were fun to read/post in, if short lived at times. I'm going to go with a male version of the animated series Jinx. Think it could be a good part to play around with.

Name: Hex
Age: 18
Race: Human

Personality: Hex tends to be quiet at times, but is no pushover. Can be very outspoken when it comes time to get down to business or when trying to straighten someone out. Because of this, the first impression he often projects is one of being mean or stuck up. Which actually isn't too far from what he used to be during his worst days as a supervillain, but he's trying to work on changing this image for the sake of being accepted more in the team.

Appearance: Ignore Starfire, it's just hard to find good genderbending pics of Jinx which aren't group shots.

Powers: Powers portray a manipulation of probability, more specifically, the ability to "bring bad luck" to his enemies. When he wants his enemies to be "unlucky" he fires waves of pink energy from his hands, often causing solid structures in his surroundings to break or fall on his opponents. Can also use his energy beams as force bolts against his enemies.

Past: A former H.I.V.E student, his first mission with classmates Gizmo and Mammoth was the task of destroying the Teen Titans. The high point of their first battle found them managing to get the Titans out of their tower and taking it over, until the Titans eventually returned and defeated the evil teens. Though a defeat in the end, it was enough of an accomplishment for the three to constantly be called forth on missions both together and separately.

From bank robberies to jewelry heists and attacks on other superpowered individuals, Hex often found himself paired up with the two classmates, much to his chagrin at times. They had their uses, but it was usually Hex who needed to act as the calm middle during petty squabbles. The arrangement still worked wonders in gaining himself a notorious reputation within the young superhero community. They also helped him become noticed within the H.I.V.E Academy itself, the trio being some of their most visible members.

At the academy he would often have to use his powers to help silence or scare away classmates who tried to push his buttons or whom he just found frustrating to deal with. He took his criminal career seriously, where others his age seemed to be in it for the thrill and to show up each other or the various heroes they came across. It was this attitude which eventually which lead to him being a sort of de facto leader of the H.I.V.E Five after the H.I.V.E. Academy was destroyed.

Hex soon found life with the H.I.V.E Five to be extremely frustrating, with most of the other members treating everything like a game. They lacked any real goals or focus beyond living the moment and not planning long run. While that may have been good for the short term, he knew that it would eventually lead to the group falling apart after failing to make a name for themselves, or still performing petty crimes many years from now. It wasn't what he wanted to do with his criminal career.

His former H.I.V.E Five partners were less then understanding of his decision. Over the days, weeks, months since leaving, they took every chance possible to make his life as hard as possible. It ranged from personal pranks to the occasional monkey wrench in his attempts at going solo. He soon found himself returning the favor, going so far as to actually foil a number of their heists and even putting them in jail a few times.

While these acts of heroism may have been done for personal reasons, they had the adverse effect of starting the rumor mill on his being completely reformed. It was something he didn't particularly welcome at first, but would gradually begin to consider the possibilities of after the nudging of a few heroes.

Fast forward the story and we find Hex has done his share of soul searching over time. Because of the nature of his powers, he often believed himself to be bad luck personified, both for others and himself. It was what led him to using his powers for selfish goals, wanting validation at the one thing he seemed best at: Causing trouble. There was a time which he believed this, and a time where he began to know better but used it as an excuse to keep from taking a chance.

After some hesitation on both parts, Hex has been admitted into the Teen Titans, the very group of superheroes he'd spent so much of his time fighting with or running from. It wasn't an easy transition, and there remain the occasional bump in the road, but Hex remains determined to finally change his own luck in life for the better.

Lover/Crush: He had a brief crush on the classmate who turned out to be Cyborg during her time infiltrating the H.I.V.E headquarters, which resulted in disappointment when the truth about her identity came out. Has also shown a fondness in the past toward Kid Flash, the hero who helped the most in talking him out of his life as a villain. Aside from them, he's had a few other girls catch his eye from time to time, but never acts on it.

Likes: Being treated with respect, fashion (albeit the more 'odd' side of fashion), drawing, anything purple.
Dislikes: Being lied to or used by anyone, being pushed around, having to deal with incompetent people and pointless bickering.

Name: Revan Roth

Age: this life, 18, 34 if you count past lives

Race: Azarathian

Personality: repressed, sarcastic, hostile, cold, forgives and forgets easily

Powers: magic abilities stemming from emotional control

Past: his first life was in his home realm of Azarath, he was adopted by the temple and raised in perfect peace, sheltered from the world in the hope that when his mother Trigon reappeared that he wouldn’t fall to him and that their world would survive, it didn’t.

On his sixteenth birthday, his mother showed up and attempted to destroy Azurath, she failed, she was just over half done when Raven retaliated, tapping in to Trigons own power and loosing control of his emotions, he managed to bind her within a citadel and then sealed the citadel in a pocket dimension within his mind along with many other random peaces of his home. Sadly in his insane state he obliterated the rest of his people and rendered the whole realm inhospitable.

He efforts not only destroyed his physical body, they also ripped his mind apart, the strain of stopping Trigon from ever fully escaping was to great. He used the last of his power to be reborn on earth, however his powers landed him in a mental institution, voices whispering to him and thing going wrong whenever he showed emotion, it was a real padded room and straight jacket deal.

At 13 he had already remembered who he was in his first life, but that didn’t help his situation much, at 16 he broke through the wall and floated out, determined to get out of that hell hole or die trying. He basically did what he want, but being mostly emotionless, there was nothing that would land him in enough trouble to attract the attention of anyone who could stop him. One day when he was making a bank deposit, there was a robbery, he magiced them through the wall and hospitalized all of them, this got him the attention of robin who thought he was the one robbing the place.

One rather annoying explanation later, he was not only out of a bank robbery charge, he somehow ended up working with robin, before they made the teen titans. To this day he doesn’t remember what happened exactly, one minute he was claiming he was innocent, the next, he was shaking robins hand and being welcomed to the side of good.

He didn’t care, it was just a food check to him, he didn’t get in to the spirit and he probably never will, the most good guyish thing he has done to date was helping beast girl by getting her in to the teen titans, mainly because he saw something hidden beneath her surface just like him.

Raven isn't the only bringer of the end of the world... Since he failed to do so, Trigon has figured out another way.

The Apocalypse:

AKA, the legendary Four Horsemen.

The Apocalypse team are the bringers of the end of the world, they are the important keys and signs to the end of times. They are half-breeds, that is humans and demons, demons which were once scattered across the globe and had once lived almost average every day lives like people. They have great powers, though they are mostly known for morphing themselves into other life forms (or people) and hiding in the elements. Most do nor believe in their existence since it is a widely believed fact that The Four Horsemen are symbolism and nothing more.

The White Rider:
Damien
He is the leader, the Anti-Christ.
Being who he is, he is in control over the whole operation and his powers SEEM limitless. He is the one whom everyone fears in coming. He is a great deceiver, too. He pretends to be your friend, to show best interest for you, and if he likes you or believes he can use you, he’ll do just about anything to coax you onto his side. He plays devil’s advocate a lot!
He needs his Horsemen to fulfill the prophecy, to open his way into becoming what he always wanted… To be God.
He has white hair, pale skin, and blue eyes.
(Is he related to someone? Dunno. Maybe.)

The Red Rider:
Edom
He is the one who brings blood-shed and war, he causes chaos between even loved ones and not just enemies. He enjoys his job very much and is very wrathful and angry himself. He is a murderer and has been killing since he was little. He’s not very social since he hates people and was the school bully while growing up.
He has red hair, dark eyes, and pale skin. He’s a headbanger.

The Black Rider:
Adrian
He’s the bringer of famine. He makes things harder for people through natural causes by affecting the earth itself. He is very quiet and shy by nature. He’s not had it good at all. When he was a child, he watched his own father kill his mother and was forced to live in a foster home, separated from his own family (he had many siblings, too). He sees only a cold and cruel world, so he accepts his fate and duty to help bring this world to an end.
He has black hair, brown eyes, and he’s mixture of black and white. He would be quite down to earth if he wasn’t killing so many people with starvation.

The Pale or Green Rider:
???
This rider is the bringer of death and is the only rider missing whom the others have to find. This being is not only death, but Hell itself follows behind. This rider how powers of hell and death combined.
Note: It’s someone we know, but I’ll leave you all to figure it out.

Kid Flash

Name: Britney Allen
Race: Human
Personallity:Impatent, impulsive, bubbly the world is slow and she is the only one moving.
Apperance: Red Hair, slender with a well toned body
Powers:Super Human speed and reflexes, the ability to control her molecues and vibrate through objects
Sexuality: Bi

Oh, btw, guys... Since this is The Teen Titans, we all know how they go about having missions and that some move about from each team to another. We'll figure all of this out how we will go about this once we wait and see if we get more people...

We still need a Cyborg or a Cyber... It wouldn't seem like TT without him/her.

If push comes to shove, whatever character is not taken, we'll have them be in the background as background characters (such as Aqualass, Bubblebee, etc).

Of course, we'll use Slade. I can see her as one cruel bitch, and of course she always has a deep interest in the Titans, especially Robyn (later on Raven as well).

Hmmm...

Yeah, eventually a plot will develop itself on it's own. So, no worries there.

So far, as I know, for my character and her interaction with others...

Cyber = Best Friend, but she's probably gone away, that is if no one takes her. ...If that's the case, I know Beast Girl will be missing her.

Robyn = Is a friend, there's not much really that goes on between these two. I don't even know if they have a connection. Somehow I feel that deep inside they really wouldn't have a good one anyway... Especially once she learns the truth. They are like, polar opposites, even though they share some of the same past (like being an orphan and being adopted by at least one superhero and becoming a sidekick). I see a lot of animosity between the two... I just don't see them getting along all too well. Beast Girl may know a lot about Robyn, but Robyn hardly knows a thing about BG. The only thing I can see them do together is perhaps go shopping, but even then there's just...not really anything there. What do you guy's think?

Kor = Good friend! Kor comes after Cyber in the line of friendship, sometimes even ties. He's a real gal pal and possibly the only one besides Cyber she can turn to.

Raven = Oh, boy. As I said, BG has a major crush on him, but feels like it would never happen, believes it, too. The two fight, there's no doubt about that. It leads someone like Robyn to question why Raven recruited her in the first place. There's a lot of chemistry, at least on BG's part. She teases Raven and tries to hide her feelings... While Raven yells at her and gets mad at her all of the time. It's like a melancholy romance, really...again from BG's perspective. You've got the guy of your dreams, who'd you'd probably would die for though won't admit it, since you absolutely believe that he has absolutely nothing for you, that he could never return your feelings ever. BG calls him "creepy", though it's not because he actually terrifies her, what she really means is to say she's afraid of confronting him. ...Yeah, it's that BIG.

Terra (Terran) = He still exists, though he's officially hurt her in more ways than one. She says she doesn't hate him, that she still feels something for him... But deep down there's scorn, terrible flames of wrath building up inside of her... Sadly, her powers are one day going to break through and it's not going to be a pretty sight. ...What Terran did, his betrayal and everything, really left a mark after he got under her skin.

Flash = I think she could have a couple of laughs with her. I can see them pranking people, possibly with Hex in tow. I just see them being friends, nothing more really, though they can relate somewhat since they do both hide themselves behind their smiles.

Hex = Someone whom she would have to grow to, perhaps, then again, you never know... Maybe they'll be friends, maybe not. This is Hex, after all.

eh I just think Kor is completely for Robin but keeps that to himself since she's rather withdrawn when it comes to romance.

So in general he tries to be a good friend to everyone and cheer them up when they're down.

He is not very fond of Terran thanks to what he did to Beast Girl but is willing to work on forgiving him again if he truly shows signs of reformation..

The ending in Teen Titans, the animation, was sad... I hated how they ended the whole show... They ended it with Beast Boy ending up in heartbreak!

Past: (Optional) A Circus performer with her family until two face killed them, this is when she met bat woman. The former side kick of Bat Woman Robin wanted to go on her own and formed the titans. A strange idea not that she cared about the lime light but like bats she hated being dependent on other people. After the death of her family she has been closed of to her feelings.
