Should she stay or should she go?

How compassionate are you?

On her way to a parole board hearing inside a Jackson prison, Julie Taylor tried to forgive the daycare owner convicted of inflicting brain damage on her daughter, Olivia.

Taylor carried photos showing that Diane Robinson, a woman trusted to care for Olivia, had instead transformed her from a normal, healthy baby to a permanently disabled child requiring around-the-clock care.

Two and a half years into a six- to 15-year prison term, Robinson, terminally ill with lung cancer that has spread to her brain, is asking the state parole board and Gov. Jennifer Granholm to grant her a medical commutation so she can die at home.

people die in prison all the time. why should she get off just because she's dying? because she has a vagina? fuck her.

I'd say she's beyond hope of rehabilitation and certainly recidivism. Compassion will cost nothing (and save the state a bundle in health-care costs).

Let her die at home and have the state take the money they would have spent on her "rehabilitation" and health care and spend it on the care for the little girl she hurt.

Why should she deserve to die in comfort at home? She commited a crime and needs to serve her time...let her rot in jail!

and then have the cancer miraculously go into remission and she can live happily ever after. fuck that. let her die where she is.

I see karma paid her a visit. You get what you give.

I was thinking the same thing. It's more like 'Comes back tenfold'. Dianne Robinson knows she is going to die from brain damage. The little baby never seen it coming and will never understand it.

Also, the state would still have to pay for her healthcare, even if she was sent home. I highly doubt she would have any sort of benefits.

I don't think she deserves to die at home. I don't think she deserves parole or anything less than life.

But if they do decide to let her leave, then they should consider using the money spent to keep her alive for a better reason.

She's already suffering, whether it be in prison or her home.

She should not have any freedoms at all to make her last days more comfortable. She should rot in hell like the miserable piece of trash she is.

I don't disagree, she should stay in prison. However, some seem to think she'll be
somehow happier dying at home. Pardon me, but dying is fucked
up whether done on a cot in the state prison or the comfort of a king sized bed.

She shouldn't have the luxury of her family by her side.
