that's the Main Thread
this is the OOC. i thought it would be nice to have a space where all the characters were all together. and maybe keep a few things organized.
so i'm gonna copy and paste everyone's characters into this post

For those of you that don't know me My name is Lauren but it hasn't always been that way. I'm gonna take you back to a time that seems forever ago now a time when I definitely wasn't who i am now. It all started a long time ago with a wish but I'll start with a little bit before that so you can get an idea of who I was before hand.
I was originally named Steven and I was your typical guy. I was a jock I played all 3 sports Football Basketball and Baseball. I was all state in both Football and Baseball. 2nd Team in Basketball. I stood at 6foot 3inches tall and had a build to die for. I was confident in myself and a bit cocky i must say. I got what I wanted and enjoyed the situation as it was.

Background:
Mikey McKay was the only guy in school who had racked up as many accolades as Steve. He had played goalie for the varsity ice hockey team for four years and set numerous school records, including for shut-outs, wins, playoff wins and goals-against average. He's been selected all-state for hockey the last three years. He also plays water polo in the spring, and made the all-state team this year. He's graduating with a high-B average and going to college on a hockey scholarship.
Personality:
Being a high-achieving student-athlete doesn't leave much time for much else. When he's not at practice, at games (because he frequently goes to other schools' games to scout out their players ahead of time), or studying, most of his remaining energy goes into his romantic pursuits. He has a generally humble outward attitude, always pointing to his teammates' accomplishments when asked about his own. He knows he is quite skilled, but he prefers to show rather than tell. He's fairly quiet, not at all gregarious, and well-liked for not having an overly jock-like personality. His group of close friends is small and tight-knit and certainly does not include Steve.
Mikey didn't meet Steve until the second semester of their sophomore year, when they had a chemistry class together and were lab partners for their semester. They didn't much like each other at all to begin with. Their personalities clashed in the most epic way, and culminated with the Smoke Bomb Incident, when their lab assignment got totally out of control, and a huge -- though harmless -- explosion rendered everyone in the class covered in soot and ash. There was enough smoke to get a visit from the fire department, and Mikey and Steve were both suspended for three days. Accounts of the event are conflicting at best and nobody ever tells the story the same way twice, so it's taken on a bit of a mythic quality.
So it was that when tensions rose between them earlier this year over a girl, rumors flew and most of their classmates were certain an epic battle was going to take place at homecoming...

Background and Personality:
Ellen was one of the popular girls around. Not only was she pretty, and as she was often told "hot", but had a very easy-going and friendly attitude towards one and all. Does really well at school, and is one of those girls who hardly cares for "school celebrities", but rather makes friends based on what she likes about the people.
She is friends with Steve's girlfriend. As a result, she knows of Steve, but doesnt know him well at all inspite of his obvious fame.
Paige Franklin played by HookerBoots
Age: 18
Background and personality:
Paige is the most popular girl in school, and probably one of the saddest. She's Steve's girlfriend, and knows that he's an ass who cheats on her. Even though she could probably have any guy she wanted, but she believes that Steve's just hiding his sensitive side, and that he truly cares about her.
She's good friends with Ellen, who she thinks is one of the nicest people in the school.
Alexander 'Alex' Pride played by Armphid
Age: 18
History and Notes: Alex Pride has been next door neighbors to Steven for all of his life that he can remember. The two boys have been friends for most of it, barring hte occasional falling out. Alex makes straight A's and is in a number of AP classes. The only thing keeping him from being a nerd is his athleticism in soccer in the fall and baseball in the spring. He is a talented athlete, but not on the same level as Steven or Mikey, despite his hard work. He is also active in the school chorus and Men's chorus, something that Steven and many of his other friends give him shit for.
Alex is much more soft spoken than his friend, largely because Steven does a lot of talking. He also sometimes tries to rein Steven in, or clue him into how rude he can be. He doesn't think his friend is a jerk, just that he doesn't think about what his behavior might look like or sound. He ends up having to do a lot of apologizing for Steven, something he's getting tired of.

She had been adopted right after Alex had been born, and they had always been rather close in age. Her birth mother had been one of the many close friends of her mother, and they had actually been pregnant together.
It had been during the 4th month that she had learned she had Liver Cancer. She had been told that she needed Chemo right away if she was to live, but that she would almost certainly lose her child if she did. When she had insisted that she was going to have this baby, her fiance had left her, calling her a fool.
When <Insert name later> had learned of this, they had brought her in immediately, and had promised to raise her child, if she didn't survive. Grace's mother had died when she was only 3 months old, but she had been happy till the end, from what her new parents told her.
As a result of being both adopted, and having no real "family", her parents (Alex's parents) tended to spoil her a bit. They try not to, but Grace learned early on that she could often get her way if she really wanted to. She is forceful when she wants something, but thankfully she inherited her mother's grace and caring spirit.

Personality: Shy, insecure, he is easily manipulated and can be pushed around. While he is smart, he has been convinced that the social structure really does have him as low man on the totem pole, so it isn't hard for jocks, and those who are popular to convince him to do their homework for them.
Bio: A gifted student and intelligent kid, he spent a lot of his early childhood standing out because he played chess rather than tag. He has become a master of the computer game over the years, though doesn't play nearly as much anymore, since he rarely find the time. He keeps up good grades, but doesn't get as much sleep as he should. He secretly wishes that he could be on the track team but believes that he is meant to stay in his rank as geeky nerd.
He has never been alone in a room with a girl for an extended period of time, let alone had an actual girlfriend, but is a hopeless romantic, which is evidenced by the poetry that he can sometimes be found writing and reading, though he works very hard to hide it. He is also on the artistic side, able to draw and play piano. He has few friends and really prefers to spend his time alone studying and doing the homework that is thrust upon his desk by other students, since it is less dangerous than trying to be social. He has a moderate interest in stories about magic and sorcery, but doesn't mention it, feeling it is a bit dungeons and dragons.

Towards the second half of her junior year Amanda's life had begun to fall apart. She'd always been naturally sweet and almost innocent. Her parents could've cared less whether she graduated, or of she fell off the face of the earth. They were too obsessed with their own lives and how the life they'd built had begun to crumble. But Amanda had burried her nose in each and every one of her books. Being a gymnist, she'd gotten into cheerleading, which is how she met Mikey and Steven. But as her junior year began to wind down she'd made too many mistakes that she couldn't take back. She'd betrayed Mikey for Steven, and to this day she couldn't understand why. It was a ploy, and even then she knew it. She'd given Steven what he wanted, and then he wanted nothing to do with her. Mikey still hadn't forgiven her, hard as she tried to patch things up. But she didn't blame him. What'd she'd done only escalated their bittle rivalry into a war, so she keeps her distance.
Senior year started and no one recognized Amanda. She dressed differently, acted differently, even spoke differently. She wasn't as soft, or as fragile. She wasn't as innocent as she had been only a few months before. Most people who'd known her said she'd turned into a bitch and had grown a cold heart. She pulled her nose out of her books and her grades slipped. Not enough that she's in danger of not graduating, but enough to make her old friends and teachers who know she's more than capable angry. Too hurt and unwilling to deal with her old friends she made new ones. She could admit that they weren't the best influence, but Amanda didn't care. She was more interested in finding ways to forget what'd she done and everything that was going and certainly not going right in her life.
She's yet to be kicked off the squad because she's the best flyer they had. She's small and light, easily thrown into the air without much difficulty. She doesn't smile during games anymore, only when she's with her new friends. She can't find any motivation to cheer for either Mikey or Steven, or for her own school. Truthfully she's turned into more of a loner; spending most of her time writing or painting.
Some say Amanda finally embraced who she really was, others say it's her own defense mechanism. But even before her junior year she hadn't cared what other people thought or said. She'd cared what Mikey thought, but she'd long given up hope.

1) A normal looking black cat with yellow eyes and a white underbelly
2) her 'true' form is that of a beautiful young woman with shoulder length gray hair, bright blue eyes, soft tan skin, firm breasts, and a slim figure, standing roughly 5'8" (almost 5'11" with her high-heeled shoes)
3) when working as a 'fortune' teller, Carla puts on a form more appropriate to the setting: that of a very old woman, short (about 5 feet tall), her skin wrinkly, eyes dull and lifeless.
Personality: Carla is not a mean spirited person, but she has no qualms about punishing others that are disrespectful and rude. She sometimes acts distant and other times extremely attentive. When putting on a show she likes to beef up the stereotypical role of an 'old hag' and includes the famous laughs and cackles that go along with the looks.

Ali is the more outgoing of the pair, and yet shares many values with her sister. They have never understood their father's and little brother's obsession with viewing women as objects, in fact, they really don't like it that much at all. Ali was a rather average student, and managed to pass a lot of the of the time although not with anything special. Many because she enjoys partying perhaps a bit too much. Ali can be a true trouble maker when the right moment strikes her.
Denver - (Played by AimeeZero)
Denver on the other hand is the studious, quiet one of the pair, athough that isn't to say she can't hold her own in a conversation. She could keep up with Ali, if she wanted to and yet chooses to stay quiet and simply observe. While being the above average academic, Denver also shares Ali's love of partying and what not. Denver is the conscience.
Kevin Smith played by Ravenloft
Dean was his father, but he had decided long ago to call him Dean, not dad. Fathers were role models, Dean was far from Kevin's ideal role model. He hated the way the man treated their mother, but growing up, he felt powerless to do or say anything about it, but vowed that he would never become like Dean, never share his view of women, ever.
He quietly rebelled against his father in little ways, like not following in his foot steps with sports, opting, rather, for studying the martial arts. He thought he was enlightened, more in tune with himself, and his world, he paid for that arogence though.
His world crashed down around him three years ago, when he struck his fience, breaking her nose. Spent time in jail, was ordered to take alternative to violence classes, and pay a hefty fine. He was lucky to know a friend who worked at the body shop, otherwise, he was sure he would be jobless, and on the street. His mother let him back in the house, or rather, she harried Dean long enough that he finally gave in, although Kevin knew it was more for the extra money he brought into the household than anything.
Things were always tense between Kevin and Dean, he hated it, but he delt with it because he had no other choice.
Nancy Smith played by Katamari Roller

Personality: Kind and helpful, Nancy knows how horrible the world is sometimes and doesn't mind lending a hand to make it more bearable now and then. Her story with Dean can be summarised in "not quite, but almost". She feels attached to him, because he is the father of the children she absolutely adores and loves. Realizing they need a father figure, and hoping she can help him, Nancy is more than willing to sacrifice everything for her children, even if this has sadly resulted in pretty bad times... depression, a bit of alcoholism mostly. Nothing too bad... maybe?
Bio: Being pregnant when you still haven't cleared University studies is pretty hard. And then, you lack support from the bastard that promised love to you. But Nancy is not one of those who surrender. She is a hard fighter, a convinced feminist, a loving mother, and a wonderful medic at the local hospital.
A Rambo Housewife, if you will. No matter how hard are the times that come, she is going to get through it all and pull her family along despite the ocassional depression spell.

His mother let him back in the house, or rather, she harried Dean long enough that he finally gave in, although Kevin knew it was more for the extra money he brought into the household than anything.
Things were always tense between Kevin and Dean, he hated it, but he delt with it because he had no other choice.

Personality: Kind and helpful, Nancy knows how horrible the world is sometimes and doesn't mind lending a hand to make it more bearable now and then. Her story with Dean can be summarised in "not quite, but almost". She feels attached to him, because he is the father of the children she absolutely adores and loves. Realizing they need a father figure, and hoping she can help him, Nancy is more than willing to sacrifice everything for her children, even if this has sadly resulted in pretty bad times... depression, a bit of alcoholism mostly. Nothing too bad... maybe?

But Nancy is not one of those who surrender. She is a hard fighter, a convinced feminist, a loving mother, and a wonderful medic at the local hospital.
A Rambo Housewife, if you will. No matter how hard are the times that come, she is going to get through it all and pull her family along despite the ocassional depression spell.
