And there aren't many here in this little town. One little parish has served the county for years. My brother married an Italian from Florida. At 62 she's still hot. All the ones I've met online were great. Desert Rose and KC come to mind. But many more outside of lit.

Go Catholics?

born and rised catholic ... although kind of in nobodies land now ... do I count? LOL

Raised catholic as well. As an outside insider (I was raised catholic but I don't share the faith and have self-excommunicated) I have a slightly different perspective. While most practicing catholics I know are generally good people and don't push their believes on everybody, catholicism is also very intolerant as a religious institution. Which doesn't sit very well with me.

Generally a persons religion doesn't matter to me, as long as they don't push their believes onto me. If they do that, I make sure to tell them that I'm not interested, and if they won't accept that, it's their problem.

Italian Catholic here. Do I get points.

Yes I have been to the Vatican and all and seen the Sistine Chapel. Do I get extra points?

My mother finally stopped nagging about going to mass. She said i was a sinner because i did not, so i said that if i sinned all week long and then went to church would that make me a better christian? She does not get it.

Actually I like sitting in churches when there are no sermons going on. I enjoy the peacefulness and quiet time. It is actually soothing.

Is it just me or does that picture of the pope look creepy?
Me thinks this one might fit him ;)

Devil In Disguise lyrics ~ Elvis Presley

You look like an angel
Walk like an angel
Talk like an angel
But I got wise
You're the devil in disguise
Oh yes you are
The devil in disguise

You fooled me with your kisses
You cheated and you schemed
Heaven knows how you lied to me
You're not the way you seemed

You look like an angel
Walk like an angel
Talk like an angel
But I got wise

You're the devil in disguise
Oh yes you are
The devil in disguise

I thought that I was in heaven
But I was sure surprised
Heaven help me, I didn't see
The devil in your eyes

You look like an angel
Walk like an angel
Talk like an angel

But I got wise
You're the devil in disguise
Oh yes you are
The devil in disguise

You're the devil in disguise
Oh yes you are
The devil in disguise
Oh yes you are
The devil in disguise

I wish

they would offer mass in Latin again. I don't necessarily believe in all of the Catholic Church's institution, but the ritual of being able to go anywhere and hear and participate in a ritual that so many other people are a part of is very calming and soothing to me...just like my sorority meetings were in college. Plus, I like those Catholic schoolgirl skirts...they just look so damn cute on me lol

Wow. Their's a lot of kinky catholics and ex catholics. Bronn's catholic. snowy and i were wondering how many people here were choir boys or alter boys or whatever.

no longer Catholic

Sent the local bishop a letter resigning along with the ashes of my burnt up baptism certificate

sure did -
quite I did

you bet

There's a parish here that does their masses in latin. i've been. It's the most bring thing ever. I mean i've been to churches in italy and mexico where i dind't understand a thing and it was still somehow enjoyable, but the mass in latin somehow was super boring.

Actually I was in Milan many moons ago and I went to mass. I remember thinking, the words sound familiar and the rituals are the same but why cannot i not understand 50% of it. It was High Mass (noon) in latin, and I was fascinated by the whole experience.

Thank God i was never pressured to be an alter girl ...
