I agree!!!Dixon Carter Lee said:Bitch #1 checking in. Looking forward to it.
Better have a better fucking Peter/Sylar battle this season, though.

Consider yourself lucky you were born female and people forgive you at the drop of a hat for being an imbecile.

Dillinger, I think that's all part of the writer's plan. If they told us everything up front there'd be a lot less reason to watch. One reason I like Heroes is that it has the balance between a self-contained episode and Lost's lost plotline. They'll slowly tell us what happened over the course of those missing four months in the course of telling us what's going on now.
RawHumor said:Did you know that you mentioned brooke skye twice in your sig?
Dilly, Nathan had no idea because, and this is only my assumption, when he was flying Peter away he must have released him just before he exploded and flown in the other direction. Peter probably took a while to heal himself and one would imagine that the impact of an explosion IN your body would have someking od effect on your mind as well. I have no idea yet as to who or why.Dillinger said:Thanks for a thread with the right name of the show! *smile*
In true comic book fashion I figured no one actually died, including Skylar... though I am a bit disappointed in the ending of last season where not a single one of the Heroes thought to wonder what happened to Skyler or notice the open manhole cover, etc etc ... pretty lame.
SPOILER ALERT NOW - Don't Read Any Further if you haven't seen episode one of Season 2!
So I'm now very curious, now that the 2nd season has started "4 months later" how it is that Nathan has no idea what happened to Peter, how it is that Peter doesn't know who he is yet is chained in a crate on a ship in Ireland. Or how anyone even managed to chain him - and who did so --- and why?
And Claire's Mom and Brother. OK... now don't they wonder at all what happened, why they had to move (yes their house was destroyed but they didn't have to move across country, did they?) and why Mr. Bennet who was once an executive is now working a minimum wage job? And considering he's working a minimum wage job, how do they afford that big new place they're living in?
Hmmm... sorry to be so critical, I LOVE the show, but little things like these nag at me.

It's on NBC. Don't expect too much.Dixon Carter Lee said:I'm watching it now. What ticks me off about Heroes is how much they get wrong about science. I'm not talking about the comic book flying and invisibility shit, but the actual science.
In this episode the teacher quotes Charles Darwin as saying ""In the struggle for survival, the fittest win out at the expense of their rivals." But the entire quote is ""In the struggle for survival, the fittest win out at the expense of their rivals because they succeed in adapting themselves best to their environment." The actual quote is more about chance and luck. The way the series cuts off the quote, makes it sound like nature is engaged in an actual battle.
In the very first episode of the first season, practically the first line of the series, the Indian professor dude quotes the "We only use 10% of our brain" bullshit. (We use 100% of our brain.)
Otherwise it's a good show.

Lemme rephrase then, it's for an American audience, don't expect too muchDixon Carter Lee said:NBC is the pipe. The show is made by a production company that could have jsut as easily sold it to ABC, CBS, or HBO.

Every dog's gonna have a few fleas but all in all it's one of the better shows on TV.Dixon Carter Lee said:It's a show made for the global consciousness, featuring characters from all over the world and a sense of cultural awareness. Which is cool.
They do their research about what Honduras looks like, but they get their science from Spider-man comic books. Sure, they're Americans. But the British came up with Dr. Who. And have you ever seen ANY Japanese film that takes place in space? Jimminy Crickets on toast...
I haven't rewatched last season, but I was thinking that everything came out about Claire at the end of last season, so the mom and bro know. That is why they know to go by Butler instead of Bennet. I just figured the dad stashed some cash in case something like this happened. He was high enough in the company that he had to know eventually they would be changing identities.Dillinger said:Thanks for a thread with the right name of the show! *smile*

This is the only thing that doesn't make sense.Dillinger said:and why Mr. Bennet who was once an executive is now working a minimum wage job? And considering he's working a minimum wage job, how do they afford that big new place they're living in?
That's not science and it was intentional, and it is an actual quote. Stop nitpicking.Dixon Carter Lee said:In this episode the teacher quotes Charles Darwin as saying ""In the struggle for survival, the fittest win out at the expense of their rivals."
