It felt as though it had been ages since Ms. Cabot had come home. She hadn't set foot in town since she'd gone away for college and for good reason. Her 'studies' were dominating her life which meant there was no time to come home and visit, not even during holidays. Gillian was completely and utterly booked...or at least that was what she told her folks. Gill was busy alright, just not with her studies. Don't get me wrong, she did what she needed to do to pass. Yes, she did the bare minimum to get by but the rest of her time was spent hanging out with her friends, partying, and of course drinking. She didn't do the whole 'lets get high' thing. Wasn't her style, but she did spend several days with hang overs before she even thought about her school work or her family in New York.

California was a long ways away, it wasn't like she could come visit whenever she wanted, even if she had thought about it. There were times she did though. Her home life was never horrible. Sure, her mother and father could be very strict but with a mischief maker like Gillian in their midst they needed to be. The one thing...or person I should say Gill truly without a doubt missed was her little sister. Sure they had their arguments and fights, but they were still pretty close. Gillian had always been the worst out of the two of them, so she felt bad leaving her with them, knowing they'd be even stricter with her, just so she wouldn't turn out like her older sister. It had amazed them Gill pulled off a scholarship for a college that far off, but they didn't complain. Off she went and left her favorite and only sister in the clutches of two very controlling parents.

Stepping out of her black mustang, the 19 yr old sighed contentedly, her teal hued gaze falling on the home of her childhood. It looked just the same as she had left it. Still just as big and yet quaint and homey with it's porch swing and pool in the back. Raking a hand through her auburn colored hair she then moved to the backseat of her car, grabbing her luggage before heading onto the porch of the 2 story house. With her parents away on their 2nd honeymoon, she and her sister would be staying together for a week or two. Gill didn't mind this at all, she was sure they'd find something to keep them occupied for that long. If not, they could always head out on a road trip or something like that. Sitting her bags down, she turned the knob...yep it was open.

"Hey sis!! I'm home!!" she called picking up her stuff and stepping into the door way.

The day that Melissa's sister Gillian left for school was almost unbearable and one that she wanted to put behind her forever. They had grown up in the same home, ate the same food, talked, and even fought. But now that her older sibling had flown the coop (so to speak) Melissa truly felt alone. Her parents had always been over the top but for the most part their actions had been justified. After all, being the parent of two adolescent girls had to be a tedious task and in order to keep them from doing anything truly regretful one had to be more than serious.

So as Gillian moved away, Melissa found something missing in her life. She still had High School, and the prospect of being a senior did have its advantages. For one, she ruled the school along with her friends. They could go off campus and even leave early (something she did quite often). Being a cheerleader kept her rather busy as she would need to attend nearly 100% of the school sporting events, rallies, conventions, competitions, etc. Melissa wasn't the brightest girl in her class but she still ranked pretty high up, an end result of her parents strict academic rules.

With her parents gone on their honeymoon, Melissa pretty much had free reign of the house. She wasn't allowed to host any parties, nor invite most of her friends over. Sitting up on her bed and wearing only a t-shirt and panties, her fingers rapidly struck the keys on her laptop as she sent instant messages to her friends. Most were going off for the night to social gatherings, but Mel wanted to stay home. The reason why? Well...

"Hey sis!! I'm home!!" a familiar voice called out from downstairs. Melissa got up from her bed and tossed on some pants real quick before she walked out of her room and headed towards the balcony railing by the stairs. She leaned her head over and smiled, hearing her sister move about downstairs.

"Hey. I'm up here."
she called out, but instead of waiting for Gil to come upstairs she walked over to and down the steps. Melissa was more than excited to see her older sister, having not seen her for the past 1,000 years it seemed.

"Ok, I'm down here." Melissa said with a childish grin upon seeing her older sister. Gillian hadn't changed that much from the looks of it, though being apart for a year or so created this illusion that so much time had gone by. Whatever the case, Melissa walked up to her sister as she stood there with her luggage and wrapping her arms around her neck gave her a little squeeze for a hug before pulling away.

"You look terrible." she added with a teasing grin.

Gillian could hear movement above her as she stepped inside the house, knowing for sure now Mel was home. She doubted that she was gone with her friends, or maybe it was wishful thinking, hoping her sister had missed her as much as she did her. There could have been no one else in the house, for her parents were long gone according to the message they'd left on the older girl's cell phone nearly a half hour ago. They were at the airport, giving her a list of all the things the two of them weren't allowed to do while they were gone. It made Gillian feel like she was back in high school again, babysitting the poor girl. Their parents didn't seem to remember Gillian all that well though. Whatever they said, she did quite the opposite.

Glancing up she heard Melissa's voice, a grin coating her features as she was about to ascend the stairs. She went to put her stuff down, but before she got the chance, Mel was already down the steps, a childish grin coating her features as well. Looking at her, she hadn't changed too much, though she seemed a little more taller and...she had definitely filled out more. Maybe she'd changed more than she thought. Casually she pushed the thought away for a moment as she sat her luggage down, returning the little squeeze the blonde had given her. "I can see that," she said her grin turning into a smirk as she rolled her eyes.

"You try waking up at noon with a hangover and driving to the airport to fly across the USA and see if you look good," she laughed as she ran a hand through her hair again smile returning. "Look at you. You've certainly grown up since I was gone. What have they been feeding you?" Gillian teased taking note that her sister wasn't the curveless rail she once was. Actually she was rather womanly, slightly curvy looking with a chest size that almost rivaled her own. Just how long had she been gone??
