NEVERLAND ADVENTURES
The End Of Time

{Interest Thread and Casting Call}
Game Start!

Peter Pan is the time honored story of a young boy who never wanted to grow up. His dreaming of remaining a boy forever could only be realized in the dreamworld known as Never Neverland. Where summer is a constant and no other season could pass, all children who were found by him were taken to this new world where they would live out their lives as youthful carefree children.

That was until a strange shift in Neverland's magical structure caused reminents of the "real world" to seep through. In so doing, Neverland has slowly began to age. Where summer was a constant season it has slowly began to change into autumn, the once bright vibrant leaves green with vitality and life have now turned orange and mellow with warning.

All the residence of Neverland have felt the effects of this sudden shift in time. Peter Pan and the Lost Boys have also learned of the shift as they wake one chilly autumn morning to find they have outgrown their cloths. Each boy now turned young man tries to cope with the new changes but is having a hard time understanding. In a last ditch approach to protect Neverland and his friends, Pan sets out with help from Tinkerbell to find Wendy who could possibly explain.

This plan proves to be useless as the gateway to the "real world" has been lost. With no escape from Neverland the Lost Boys and Pan are stuck with plenty of questions but no answers. It is then they realize the only other person who can help them is the infamous Captain James Hook, a man they've fought against many times for their right to live peacefully upon their solitary island. Will the dear Capt help or will he use this opporitunity to strike and gain a foothold on the once child-menace?

Will they ever find the answers they need...?

A mysterious pirate reveals herself to the boys and Hook one day only to explain that Neverland's time has come to an end. All that reside in this world will soon become part of the "real world" along with the responsibilities that follow. A deep fear seizes Pan's heart as he realizes his beloved Neverland may be lost, in so learning this he pleads for a possible solution in returning Neverland to its former status. The mystery pirate obligues but at a small price... that Pan hand over his shadow, the action allows her the gift of flight leaving Pan stuck on solid ground. Even so he agrees and it is then revealed that an artifact known as "The End of Time" must be used to return Neverland to its former status. In order to find this artifact, one would need to travel all of Neverland in its search for its whereabouts are unknown...

Do you have what it takes to help Pan and the Lost Boys restore Neverland?

Join me in recreating a well known story and making it interesting and new for those of you willing to participate. All I ask is for a substancial cast of characters. They will gradually mature throughout their adventures and it is up to the player to decide wether they wish to remain adults or return to their youthful status.

Understanding Neverland

In order to keep a constant flow its always good to know what the setting pertains to. In this story, everything is set in Neverland. The question remains however, what is Neverland? Well below is a bit of information on the various places that reside in Neverland and how its functions.

===

THE NEVERWOOD
This is probably the most famous location in Peter Pan. The Home Underground is settled in the Neverwood, as is the Wendy House. Most of Peter Pan's adventures have taken place in the Neverwood.

THE HOME UNDERGROUND
This is where Peter and his Lost Boys reside. There are many entrances into the underground home. Hollowed-out trees are made to fit every Lost Boy in Peter's ranks, and there is a small Nevertree in the middle of the large room that grows every day. Peter and the Boys use it as a table to eat on, then they cut it when it has grown too large.

THE MERMAID'S LAGOON
The mermaids lounge around in the Mermaid Lagoon without a care in the world. This is also the location of Marooner's Rock. It is not safe for mortals to visit Mermaid Lagoon at night.

NEVERPEAK MOUTAIN
This is the huge mountain that is right in the middle of Neverland. It is said that when a child is on top of Neverpeak Mountain, he or she can see over anyone and anything and can see beyond belief.

GRIEF REEF AND THE MAZE OF REGRETS
There exists a maze where all the mothers of the Lost Boys go to find their boys. This was thought to be a maze of witches before the League of Pan ran into Mr. Smee.

VARIOUS PLACES
There are many places not really explained in any canon Peter Pan story. These include: the Thirsty Desert, the Nevva River, the Never City, the Elephant's Graveyard, Parcel Pass, the Groves of Academe, Slightly Gulch, and many more.

CREATION OF NEVERLAND
According to Peter Pan in Scarlet, the island was pushed up from the ground by imagination. And in Peter Pan, it's shown that whatever a child dreams and wishes for will come true in Neverland. But according to Peter and the Starcatchers, the island is a normal island; it was named by Peter in memory of the Neverland, a boat he was sent on along with his gang of St. Norbert's boys.

THE FABRIC OF NEVERLAND
There is a Fabric that exists between the Neverland world and ours. It is broken by grown-up mess and can only be fixed when children begin to have dreams of Neverland. Only children can pass through the Fabric.

THE JOURNEY TO NEVERLAND
The journey to Neverland is portrayed in many ways. In the James Barrie novel, the island was found by the children when they flew onward for days. They wouldn't have found it if it weren't for the island moving toward them. In Peter Pan in Scarlet, they get to the Neverland world by flying on a road called the High Way. In many movie adaptions, they find the world by flying into a star. It simply depends on the imagination as most of the formates seem to imply.

TREASURES OF NEVERLAND
In Peter Pan in Scarlet, it says that treasure in Neverland is whatever you wish it to be. That is why Peter found Eton trophies in the treasure chest, for he had wished for them.

TIME
In the world of Neverland, they say that time is told by either the Crocodile's clock or the suns and moons. It is mentioned in the novel Peter Pan that there are many more suns and moons there than in our world. In Peter Pan in Scarlet, it says that time froze to the children as soon as they got into Neverland.

IMAGINATION
Imagination seems to have great dominion over Neverland. In the novel Peter Pan, it says that a map of a child's mind would resemble a map of Neverland. It also shows that what you wish for ends up in Neverland. And J.M. Barrie also says that the island has no boundaries at all, probably metaphorically stating that a child's imagination has no boundaries either. The belief in fairies and Neverland seems to regenerate Peter and the fairies.

SURROUNDING ISLANDS
According to Peter Pan in Scarlet, Neverland resides in a sea known as the Sea of One Thousand Islands. In the book, Peter explores some of this sea, passing by islands of various sizes. The most amazing thing encountered on this adventure is Lodestone Rock: a magnetic rock that destroys the Jolly Peter and the SS Starkey along with it.

* A great deal of this story will take place from the Novel "Peter Pan in Scarlet". The story is based around a more pirate appeal where Pan and friends will sail around Neverland to various place they have yet to explore. Because they are older they will learn of places that were off limits to children and become intangled in new adventures and wonders. It is hoped that some but not all wish to remain as they are while others will want to find the "End of Time" artifact and correct the issue with Neverland's shift in magic and dreams.

** Because of LIT's ToS and the aspects of the Peter Pan fairytale, there are no children in this story. All children have grown up in Neverland and are experiencing the same things as Pan and the Lost Boys. Adults that have already been living in Neverland will remain the same though a few years will be shaven off their growth plan allowing them a little bit of vitality and youth.

*** Everyone is welcomed to come up with their own ideas and possible plots. I have no problem adding or omitting. Lets try not to think of this in the Disney verson of Peter Pan but the plays and novels that were not solely geared toward a child-like audience.

Main Characters

In that order from left to right... we have Mr. Smee, Captain James Hook, Peter Pan and his friend Rufio of the Lost Boys.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v42/Kuuroinochou/digik21of.jpg

If you wish to take one of these roles the following visuals is what you have to go by. Please set up a mini-bio so that myself and joining players will understand what to expect from you and how you'll be playing your character.

Smee, Hook, Pan and Rufio are not on first-come-first-served. I must have some history of playing with you or trust that you're skills are warranted enough to pull these characters off. Also if you know you will not have time weekly to bi-weekly to post then do not apply for these positions. Thank you... and welcome aboard.

Heya Kuuro. Saw this and thought "Hey, looks interesting.". Was wondering if you would like me to play Pan.

Peter Pan

Apperance: A once youthful body has begun to change into a young man, turning into a lean, muscular frame that is almost constantly in motion. Blond hair is an unruly mess under his cap, for he rarely washes or trims it (He is unable to stay still for long enough to get it done.). His blue eyes, once so wide with child like passion, have begun to dull, become the eyes of an adult. He hates it so.

Personality: Peter loves two things in the world. A good adventure and a good fight. But he's running out of adventures. He's done so much already there isn't really much left. And a tiny part of him whispers that if he runs out of adventures, what's the point of staying a child? He hates that tiny part of him with a passion.

He's refused to let the boys keep mirrors or anything of the like anymore because he hates to see the face that has begun to mature that is his. Anyone breaks that rule, he gives them a thrashing.

While he's the leader and gives anyone who tries to say otherwise a firm thrashing, he makes Rufio handle most of the boring stuff that comes with being so, saying "I don't have time for such boring adult things.".

While he's always been friends with Tink and Tiger Lily, more and more he's found himself paying special attention to them and for the life of him can't figure out why.

He wants the End of Time for two reasons. One, to make certain he NEVER has to grow up and leave Neverland or the girls, and two, to have another great adventure, maybe the best yet. But can he, really? Can he stay in Neverland forever? Only time will tell.

Hmm.. interesting we'll see what happens. But I think you may be able to pull him off. Lets get a few more auditions see what they come up with. Thanks for the interest stick around for a bit.

Hey, no problem. I'll be hanging around for quite a while. And I'll do my best. Usually don't take a lead role, but .... well, I think i could pull of Pan better then the others.

Enter the Mystery Pirate

NAME: Lamoriserrie
NICK: Lam
PERSONALITY: Sharp tongued, spunky and often evasive of important information, Lam can be both fun and frustrating all in one breath. She's mysterious and yet flirty at the same time, often frustrationg Pan and the Boys on a constant. Where they want answers she can only toy with them, flitting about with her new abilities thanks to Pan. Where they are in need of assistance during battle she can be found helping out with a trained skill. Its quite strange but she's always been known to excite the boys then laugh maniacally as they frustratingly deal with their "boy" issues. Its easy to see that she has a child-like innocence about her but still manages to have that adult's demeanor when times really call for quick action.
HISTORY: Little is known of Lam's purpose or her business in the matter dealing with Neverland. Pan and the others wonder if she's always lived in Neverland or has the strange shift in the magical structure conjured her up. Perhaps the dreams of children made her to save Neverland or perhaps she has just been laying in wait just for a moment like this to help protect the famed dreamland. Regardless of her origin, it has become clear that Lam's usefulness is very much needed despite her want to play and tease those around her; she has been a much needed source of information and hopefully she can remain that way... if only one could figure out what her stake is in restoring Neverland?

EXTRA: Upon first meeting up with Pan and the Lost Boys, Lam's information circuit could not be tapped without a price. In so doing Pan has given up his shadow and his ability to fly to acquire the information needed to restore Neverland. With Pan's shadow as her own, Lam has acquired the ability to fly without the use of pixie dust.

Lam is also the Captain aboard "The Siren Song". There she houses a whole crew of females who are willing to go the ends of the world and back if only to seek adventure and fun.

*Note: Anyone who wishes to be a crew member let me know before making a character.

Name: Rufio

History/Personality: Pan's right hand, though he isn't fond of being referred to as such, Rufio is a strong, rough and serious member of the Lost Boys. During times where Pan was away, Rufio took it upon himself to be the mentor, leader and protector of the boys, citing himself to be the superior of the two. Rufio's personality retains a mysterious quality, if mainly for it's contradicting nature. On one hand, he's cocky, selfish and quick-tempered, but when it comes to the Lost Boys, he can be exceptionally mature, protective and clever.

His relationship with Pan has always been a rocky one due to their conflicting ideas of who is truly in charge. They often test each other's nerves on that fact, but when a serious situation arises, there seems to be a connection and mutual understanding between them both that no one else could share, which forms a very formidable alliance anyone would be right to fear. A major pet peeve of his is Pan's tendancy to leave him with various tasks claiming not to have the time for 'boring adult things.'

Unlike Pan, growing older seems to have little effect on Rufio's attitude. He considers it a trivial process, and instead utilizes it to strengthen his body and sharpen his senses. Though he may not admit it out loud, remaining young is clearly his preference, and he would not be opposed to once again achieving that level of immortality.

One of Rufio's better known qualities is his swordsmanship which is rivaled only by Peter Pan himself. He's also known for taking very few luxuries, in that he'll sleep pretty much anywhere, eat pretty much anything and fight pretty much anyone, and all would be done with a confident smirk.

Sounds solid for me Ahren... welcome aboard... now more females for Lam's crew, a tink and tiger lily, a hook and/or smee.. and things will be in order

Bartholomew Quigley Smeethington - Smee

Smee's full name is Bartholomew Quigley Smeethington, he was nicknamed Smee by Captain Hook long ago and had become used of the name. He is 5'8", has blond short unruly hair and blue eyes.

Smee is Captain Hook's right hand and bo'sun, an oddly genial man for a pirate. He's not too bright and interested in loot rather than Hook's more evil pleasures. Since the ending of the eternal summer he wears very fashioned creamy clothing from a raid long ago and has lost lots of weight to fit in it. Loyal to Hook and enjoying his life as a pirate, Smee isn't a genuinely bad man, but has tendencies in that direction. Smee knows Hook from the time before he even lost his hand and was called The Black Stache, that long history has got his imprints on Smee and turned him gradually more to evilness, but has also enhanced his loyality to Hook.

Smee is skilled with the pistol and the sabre, but was no match for either Peter Pan or Captain Hook in the eternal summer. He hopes that had ended, too, but hadn't worked much to achieve this goal, though he is more agile now due to the loss of weight.

n a m e : Tinkerbell
n i c k : Tink

p e r s o n a l i t y : jealousy is Tink's middle name and mischief is her game. a free spirit bound by her love for Pan, she is loyal to only him and would willingly die for him rather than see her beloved Pan harmed. Tink adores being the center of attention, especially Pan's and will do most anything to get it and keep it for herself. most would think of her as a silly little girl, but beware: once crossed, hell hath no fury... as the saying goes.
h i s t o r y : Tink was the one who found Pan abandoned as an infant and brought him to the magical land of Neverland. from that point forward, the two were inseperable and even as Pan remained a child, her love and devotion to him grew. it wasn't until Pan found the beautiful Wendy Darling that the depth of her feelings for him began to show.

with the end of the eternal summer, Tink has found herself of two minds. on the one hand, her loyalty to Pan and his ultimate happiness dictates that she help him in his ultimate adventure to remain young, happy, and carefree. however, with the advent of both his physical and emotional changes, she's finding herself unwilling to change things back.

e x t r a : Tink can change from a pocket sized pixie to a full sized girl at will, though prefers the smaller size as it's much easier to get into things that way. being a magical being, she possesses the ability to work magic, but only in small amounts, and her pixie dust is found to be incredibly potent.

Anyway we need a tiger lily but its not that important... I'll probably set up the thread in the morning so until then. Plenty of room for others to join. I'll probably close the thread off once we get enough folks.

Amazing..

I was thinking about running something using an older Peter Pan type setting but I am happy to see someone running it. I am very interested in it and would like to know what roles are available for me to play. Also we seem short a few girls for the many boys. Oh and a few plot questions come to mind..but I am encouraged and would like to writing in a thread like this...please post or pm. I will...monitor this thread.

I can't believe no one has yet to take the infamous Captain Hook. If he's still available, I believe I will snatch him up.

THE SIREN SONG: An all females crew

Hhaha... of course I was saving Hook for you Pooh... hehe.

As many of you are noticing the lack of females well if you would like to scroll to my mystery pirate girl you will learn that she owns a ship. Aboard this ship is an all female crew of pirates...

They are essential to the story in that they will help Pan and Friends sail the open seas in search of "The End of Time" artifact. They will also teach the boys in how to deal with their new found bodies... but of course that is left to everyone's imagination.

If you wish to participate in the Siren Song's crew then go ahead and write a profile up and I'll check it to see if the character will fit in the story.

once we get some info on Hook and I sort out some opening scripts I'll post the thread so we can get started. Anyone wanting to join in may do so, if we dont fill the cast for the lost boys they will simply be NPCed. As for Tiger Lily, would be nice to have her that way we have people from her Tribe that can also participate in the story.

I'll NPC some and a pirate or two as needed. -Scratches chin.- Since I've done this with most of you before, I'm looking forward to it.

If you're playing Pan I'd prefer that you work on him and we'll deal with the NPC though you can NPC others to suit your needs... hehe. And look it there Tink is so adorable. Hehehe.

Now then... need a Tiger Lily

Yeah, I get that. Hopefully it won't be needed, but if it is ....

And yes, Tink is quite a cutie. >__> I got a thing for redheads. .... And asian girls. ..... You know, I guess I'm not all that picky. XD

Hopefully we can grab us a Tiger Lily soon.

Captain James Hook.

A tall man, gangly almost, with a wonderful set of dress. He is most often flamboyant. He has dark curly hair that runs down his shoulders, when he moves it looks like a black flame flickering and dancing in the distance. He is strong though, agile, and deadly with a sword.

Even in his left hand.

His right, there is a silver sterile hook. It is shined to perfection, sharp, as deadly as any dagger in his hands. He saved it, for one day to pierce into the heart of a certain young boy who gave it to him.

He is dark, cold, evil, and above all very smart. He studied at Eton college, where he learned many things. He loved literature, including Shakespeare and poetry. He plays the flute, often dazzling his crew with a melody or two at twilight.

He is often melancholy. He never seems happy unless he is chasing after Pan and his lost boys, or planning something equally as hardening. Although, he can be compassionate. He is not heartless, but he is cruel. He is often considered a dual personality, simply because he is lonely, regretful and despressed.

seems our Tink is having trouble logging into Lit. For some reason Lit wont' show up at all on her computer but she's got strong signal to the internet and all the other sites she visits. Is there any tech dweeb available to help assist so we can get our Tink back online and operational?

Honestly, I don't know. Could be her IP is having trouble connecting with Lit's server for some reason. But really, I don't know as much about computers as I would like.
