The 'ultimate submission' thread got me wondering, whether it's more or less common to have children if you post here. I've left the votes anonymous.

There's no poll.

Three genetic children - I'm assuming that's what you want to know. I also have a heart-child.

She's the daughter of my heart. My best friends child. Her father is AWOL, so her mom works two jobs. I babysit, and since her mom's working 60 hours a week that means I have her A LOT, and have since she was 18 months old (she's almost 9). I tell her that she didn't grow under my heart she grew IN my heart. She told me that she has two mommy's (me and her mom) and one daddy (my husband), although she doesn't call me and K mommy and daddy - she calls us by our names.

YOU, Gracie, are a WONDERFUL woman. i hope you know the difference you are making in that little girl's life.

no kids yet but would like them some day.

first i need a boyfriend ;)

I haven't voted as I have none and am not sure if I want them lol....I know I should get a move on and decide

None and don't want any.

I was living with my sister when she had her two, (boy now 19 and girl now 17). They too had two mums. I love them like they are my own and whenever anyone sees me and my nephew together they all think he's mine. Makes my heart swell everytime - he's just like me in character too. God help him.

I never thought my niece looked like me until I saw a photo of me recently taken around 20 years ago - if it wasn't for the 80's hair and dress it could have been my niece.

I feel I got the best of both worlds - two wonderful kids without the stretch marks - LOL.

Don't have 'em, don't want 'em. I respect people who are parents and do it well though. I think it is something you should want with all your heart before you do it. I like being the cool "auntie" to my niece and nephew.

i don't think you should hurry to decide.

I have three that I gave birth to... a Daughter about to turn 22 next month, a Son who is 17, and a Son who is 9 now. Yes there are age gaps there...LOL. I also have a grandson who is currently 2 and a Son-in-law who is 22.

lol, I guess I'm just aware that I am rapidly approaching 40...if I don't have one soon ie. the next couple of years, I probably won't ever.

Very true... Hurrying things like that leads to rash decisions.

To be honest though, minx would make a wonderful mum anyway :)
