I love nipple play fortunately my wife does too. She doesn't like to wear nipple clamps. She says they hurt and are uncomfortable, but she doesn't mind if I wear them. By themselves nipple clamps do nothing for me. Of course, being a sadist, I don't put them on me. Now putting them on someone else? THAT is nice. Particularly if they don't like them.
If your wife finds the kind you enjoy too tight, try alligator clips with a gap adjusting screw. The screw regulates how tight they can clamp down. Spring-type clothes pins may work, on the first or second gap depending on the size of her nipples. Bag clips (the kind folks use to hold opened potato ship bags closed) also usually have less spring tension than some nipple clamps. Another thing I like do to with the clothes pins is place them all around the aureolas as well as the nipples... then flick them off one at a time with a quirt.

i LOVE nipple clamps. It also helps that my nipples aren't extremely sensitive to begin with, so i don't find that they hurt much...just give me that wonderful, warm achy sensation..

I think they are very erotic to look at, but my nipples are extremely sensitive. We haven't explored nipple play a whole lot yet. And I am in no rush... But probably eventually we will.

One word of advice from one whom actually bought her first set of clamps based on the fact they were purdy. Some of the pretty ones marketed fall between a clamp and body jewelery and for some reason even when adjusted the metal retains memory. I never had any real success at getting that pair to retain a suitable setting. Edit to add The ones I am referring to were a fixed setting, I had the pliers out before long , they still reverted to original size. Any more pressure applied was likely to cause them to break or worse fall off . Well intentioned yet very naive purchase in hindsight.End of editmyinnerslut said:

As Miss CM stated paying attention to the time on is important , I am unable to set definitions of time limits in that regard. Past a point of certain numbness there is no feeling anyway and time factor has less to do with masochistic endurance and more to do with safety. Something to do with blood flow resuming at a normal rate in the region. I know for my levels of comfort I find the pain rates as 'breathtaking'. The only clamps I've tried were clothespins and OUCH! I didn't like them, couldn't take them for long. It really surprised me because I have been told many times that I have a high pain threshold.

i have these suction-y nipple things that i sometimes enjoy. its nice with just a bit of suction for a few minutes, but if they are applied too hard they kinda hurt. i've also used hair pins (like one with a hinge) on them before, and it feels nice for a minute or so, but starts to ache after that. i think the visual is what turns me on the most though.

i HATE nipple clamps. i don't care what kind they are, they all shout "UNBEARABLE RIDICULOUS CRUEL OMG ARE YOU SERIOUS FRICKIN PAIN!!!" to me. now mind you i'm a pain wuss to begin with, but nipple clamps are especially difficult for me to tolerate. unfortunately because i have large nipples, people tend to enjoy putting clamps on them.

I TOTALLY Agree with you.. I cant wear nipple clamps I like to have my nibbles nibbled and bit and played with but I have never found anything that felt even remotely good.... NO NIPPLE CLAMPS! Im too big as well.. my nips are about as big as the pad of my first finger.. acckk did I say that? LOL
