Saw the previews for this movie about 2 mins ago and got chills..

I hope some good movies come out. I was dying to see a decent movie all week and all there was, was spider man, knocked up, bug, and pirates.

Apt Pupil would be a good Stephen King movie, if there is a good kid actor.

Do you think Fantastic 4 will be ok?

No interest whatsoever in any comic book remakes. WHy can't someone make a good scary futuristic blockbuster like Aliens.

I absolutely HATE horror movies, but I saw a trailer for this when I saw Shooter (which sucked) and it made me wish I loved horror movies, because it looks so intense.

They did make it, with a pre-drug arrest Brad Renfro.

Apt Pupil, in my opinion, was a very solid book-to-screen adaptation.

It ranks among the rare Stephen King movies that DO translate well...oddly enough most of which aren't of his horror vein.

I speak of "Stand by Me" (Originally "The Body"), "The Green Mile," "The Shawshank Redemption," and so on.

Out of those four, "Apt Pupil" certainly was the weakest, but it was still a good flick in it's own right.

As is a given, it doesn't hold a candle to the original writing - but what ever does?

The funny thing is that The Body, Shawshank, and Apt Pupil were from the same book...Different Seasons.

The story must not have been that good because I can't remember it so I'm uninterested for the most part. Sadly it will probably turn into another borefest like Secret Window was.
