Fables: Legends in Exile (OOC)

I've been reading this series of comics lately and thought it would be fun to do a thread based on them. I've only read the first three books so I don't know, and don't want to know, all the details of where the story ends up yet

The premise is fairly simple: Fairy Tale characters are real and they've been driven from their homeland by a mysterious evil known only as the Adversary. They escaped to our world, moving themselves to New York. The human ones live in a community in NYC called Fabletown, while the non-human members live on a farm in upstate NY. Going about their lives amongst the normal people, the mundys, they have lived in New York for hundred of years.

I dont really have a clear story idea in my head other than that in the comics themselves, so I thought I'd leave it open ended. Anyhow...

Main Characters:
Snow White: Deputy mayor of Fabletown and the real brains behind the crown. A resourceful woman,and Prince Charming's first wife, she divorced him when she caught him sleeping with her sister.

Rose Red: Snow White's rebellious fraternal twin sister. Her and Snow have been estranged from each other for many centuries though they still maintain contact with each other. Former girlfriend of Jack Horner

Bigby Wolf: The big bad wolf of old who has reformed his evil ways and can now assume human form. He's the sheriff of Fabletown - tentatively claimed by me!

Jack Horner: A schemer and trickster ever since his beanstalk climbing days. He has a hard time anticipating the consequences of his actions.

Bluebeard: The richest man in fabletown who has CLAIMED to have reformed from his wife killing days

Prince Charming: A dashing rogue incapable of romantic fidelity. He mourns his lost fortunes and lives off the women he seduces.

Briar Rose: The sleeping beauty of old. Prince Charming's second wife. She can still be put into a deep slumber at the slightest wound.

Boy Blue: Snow White's Assistant

There's also a host of other characters, any fairy tale character you can think of can be adapted.

Hmm. I'm torn between Boy Blue and Prince Charming. It's just that charming is such a pile of scum....

Alright I'll get back to you after some other people have the chance for a claim, but this does sound like fun.

okay . . . lemme look into some more characters . . find one that suits my . . . persnality the best . . and then I'll get back here.

Of course I'd love to have ya join Maid, feel free to choose whoever.

I've got dibs on Gretel! (Yes . . I know she's dead in the actual series but we are ignoring that and making it before you know who kills her!)

I think I'll take on Boy Blue. He's quite the interesting character.

Cinderella - Caela
Charming - DJ Wordplay

If you'll have me, count me in as well. Just have to decide upon a suitable character...

Again glad to see all the interest, I probably wont post an IC tonight, as I still need to kick around a few ideas and want to give more people time to hop onboard if they're interested.

Okay, I think I've found one I like. Never saw this series, but the premise is great.

I think I'll go with Beast.

Then it's yours. I'm glad to see there's so much interest here, I'm going to try my hardest to get an IC thread up. If anyone else has read the comics I'm going to set this before all the events in the comics take place, just so I dont have to deal with continuity issues.

We'll say around the turn of the millennium or so.

Sounds Fun and Fair. I'm off for a while but I will do my best to get a profile for Boy Blue up soon.

This sounds both interesting and like a lot of fun. I'd be interested in picking up the part of Cinderella if it's still open.

If the role's still open, I'll give Prince Charming a try. I dig the book and he's always been one of the better characters.

I am pretty sure both Cinderella and Charming are still open.
