It was a Saturday afternoon, springtime, my second semester at college, and I was wondering just what kind of trouble could be gotten into that night. Which is when Minerva, Toby, and Laurell, some kids who lived on my dormitory floor, walked past my room and Minerva asked if I wanted to go to a costume party at some frat house. It was 2 in the afternoon. None of us had costumes, but it was easy to put them together. Minerva went as herself, which is to say the Roman Goddess of Wisdom. She wore a toga she fashioned out of a white silk sheet. Toby, a flamingly gay young man who lived down the hall, put together his "straight" look: he borrowed my baggy jeans and tee-shirt. Laurell pulled out her old Catholic schoolgirl uniform, and I put on black shoes and pants, a black wife-beater borrowed from Toby, and Minerva fashioned a black collar with a white square for me out of some cloth, and I was a priest. I even had a bible to spare. Minerva produced a six-foot chain, with small links and a hook, and attached it to the goth leather collar Laurell was wearing, and handed it to me, smiling wickedly.
I looked at Laurell. She looked so damn good...
My character: Aaron MacInnis, 19 years old, curly mess of brown hair, brown eyes, nice tan, skinny but lean and athletic from intramural sports. Undeclared major but leaning more and more towards music. A decent guitarist, really still learning the instrument but capable of playing several tunes pretty well, although his singing voice SUCKS. He's single, though he's taken a few different girls out on dates over the course of the schoolyear, and had a couple of drunk/stoned hookups that never led to anything but awkwardness. He's been harboring crushes on Laurell and Minerva all year (they are grade A hotties, after all), but has always figured that a relationship with someone on your dorm floor is nothing but bad news.
