Who hates Katie Couric and Why?
I've met people who do.
And most of'em tell me, "nobody's that bubbly." Or, "she's got to be fake, nobody's like that."
Then I tell them - I went to HS with her, and.......
She was Prom Queen, like all her years there, straight A's, class president, cheerleading captain, captain of the debate team, dated all the hotest dudes in the school (but was always a "good" girl) - voted most likey to succeed, most popular - and on and on and on.......
Catie was/is - an Uber Achiever, she tries to be the perfect woman - the perfect daughter, the perfect mom and the perfect, brilliant, nice as can possibly be - person she can be.
There is nothing fake about her - just flukie. She's a fluke.
But she is real. She is the real deal. I know - I saw her in action as a teen.
She is today - exactly - what she really is.
A hyper driven, very nice, genuine - female person.
So - I don't get why people hate her.
Please explain.

Not to defend Miss Couric, who I think is one of the most left-leaning reporters on TV, but Jesus H. Christ if you can't call Saddam Hussein a butcher, who can you?
What's next, are we going to start referring to Hitler as a misunderstood leader who was prone to mood swings and had a slight dislike for Jews?

I've seen both Katie and Matt. I was a little irritated when Matt caved on that whole "you can't be single, you need to get married" thing cause your such an eligible bachelor, my take on the situation. I don't dislike Katie, she seems genuine enough for a news anchor.
I have no idea who the third person you mentioned is...I have a thing for Stone Phillips, he's a babe! Finally...will someone please tell Dan Rather to leave his hair alone!!! GOOD GRIEF!!! Deal with your age and be proud!!!
