What Are You Listening To Now?
I know I rarely sit down to the computer without music playing. It helps me think, concentrate and gives that little pick me up smile when the right song comes on. I wonder how many others feel the same? Tell us what you are listening to when you're writing, posting or just surfing. There is no wrong answer. Feel free hijack as the mood strikes, just give us a song. Maybe you'll be reminded of a favorite song, an oldie that you've not heard in years, or get an idea of something new to listen too. Most of all: Have Fun!!!
Music: Classic Rock and Blues
Song: Yes - I've Seen All Good People

Would you believe, at the moment, the sound of silence?
If I'm writing from scratch, I prefer no music unless I need "white noise." For editing, re-writing, etc, I tend to listen to about the same stuff as you. Anything from classical, to Dylan, Eva Cassidy, The Blind Boys of Alabama, David Allen Coe, Ray Charles, etc..

A little known band called Girlyman. The song is "The Shape I Found You In."
It always reminds me of the beginning of my relationship with my girl. You must read these lyrics. Girlyman is a band to know, to love and to listen to frequently!
You were spoken for
I spent twenty lifetimes at your door
But your heart was busy within
Building bomb shelters under your skin
That's the shape I found you in
That's the shape I found you in
I was calling to you
It was one thing I knew how to do
But my heart tried to cheat
Building safety nets under my feet
So if I fell I would fall right in
That's the shape you found me in
You were delivered to me
We were closed as the stores on Christmas Eve
So I felt around in the dark
Building rope ladders into your heart
Climbing hand over hand to get in
That's the shape I found you in
That's the shape I found you in

I have a hard-on for Oasis right now. I write a story or a chapter always with one song or album in mind and I listen to it until I am finished. Fortunately never until I am sick.

I collect 50's, 60s and 70s music. Right now I am listening to some of the great Beatles tunes.
