Name Change

If you could change your real first name, what would you change it to? And yes, I know that you can change your name and it's not an impossible task, but humor me and my fluff.

When I was a kid, I wanted to be Jennifer, because everybody was a Jennifer.

Now, I think I'd like to be Oryx. Or Roxie. Something with an 'x' because that makes it hot.

Actually, your real first name is the same as one of the sexiest girls I went to college with, so treasure it.

When i was a kid i wanted to be a Lance , or a Kieth . but now that i'm an adult , all the Lances and Keiths i know are total pricks . So i guess i'll stick with what i've got . Now last names are something else entirely.

Wait, I changed my mind... "Schlomo" to celebrate my Jewish heritage.

Ok, I'm not Jewish, but how many "Schlomos" do you run into?

I would consider changing my first name to Linnea or Lily.

Growing up I desperately wanted to be called by my given first name, but my mother used a form of my middle from the time I was born and that's what it ended up always being.

I'm glad about that now, my first name is far more common than my 'nick'.

I go by my middle name or a nick of it. I hate my first name. So the middle stays.

I always liked the name Julian...but I don't think I'm handsome and suave enough to be a Julian. I tend to like names with flavor. Like...I could probably pull of Grigory.

Otherwise, I'd want to go with something completely off the wall, something that's not even a word, something completely made up.

Your last name and my last name were made for porn stars.

I'd change it to Wscdelfjamlfihamdlfp. Granted I'd still pronounce it Scott, but the mindfuck would be so worth it.

You'd make a great Oryx. It's a unisex name.

Oryx, as a male name, sounds like a dude with a lot of piercings or a guy who wears a lot of jewelry. I would not make a good Oryx.

New First Name

How about Phil?

Then I could buy a kazoo and audition for the "Desert PHILharmonic".

Ok, fine. I'm totally wrong, and you are completely right. You'd be a horrible Oryx and you should be a Mark. There, happy?

I like my first name very much, although when I was younger I hated it because everyone used to mispronounce it. I used to dread the first day of school every year because I knew the teacher(s) would mispronounce my name.

If I HAD to change my name, I'd change it to something even more original, like Ariana or something.
