kitchen floor scrubbed on hands and knees: check (that sucked and not in a good way)
Christmas cards written: sadly, no attempt has been made
sled hung on front door so people speeding past my house can ignore it: check.
coffee brewed: check, cocoa powder and cream added? hell yeah! yum!
so now... paint nails or start something that needs finishing?
okay then, Holiday Red nails it is.

Morning Kimmie
Coffee sounds good but just a teaspoon of sugar for me.
So, you're doing the Christmas thing early.
A friend of mine threatened to paint a sprig of mistletoe right below her belly button if her husband didn't start paying more attention to her.
So red or green nails is not a problem.

Copied from my facebook page:
So I started the week without the laptop. The repair shop said it would be ready Thursday. I figured let's get a cold while I wait. And because I was behind in word count for NaNo, let's make that cold settle in my eyes. I took a trip to the doctor Tuesday, stopped at the pharmacy for an antibiotic, and came home to type. Try that with gunk in your eyes and see how that goes. ppfftt
Then I figured hey, I'm still waiting for the laptop, let's add the flu. I'm not sure how, but between the cold and the flu, I managed to complete NaNo. But the repair shop figured, hey, she's already had a crappy week, let's tell her the laptop isn't repairable. So it's close to the end of the week. I'm not sure I'll dare get out of bed in the morning.

Congrats on NaNo and sorry about the rest.
I hope you had them pull the hard drive out of the dead laptop so you can get your files off later. It will also make a nice backup drive for a very reasonable price.
Ok, so why am I up so early? I went to bed early.
No coffee yet. I'm out of drinking water and so far I've been too lazy to walk across the location and get a 5 gallon bottle.

Good morning
Let me know when you want to do it and I'll walk you through it. It's as simple as removing a small cover, removing a couple of screws and pulling it out. Then you will need a Rocket brand or equivalent standalone hard drive case to match the drive type.
Morning HP.

The battery I bought two weeks ago. But I don't know anyone with this exact model laptop. The mouse, of course.

Thanks. I will. Maybe once I learn how to do this, I can do something with the tower in the back of my closet too.

Morning all.
Enjoying my breakfast before I have to work my 1-5 PM shift today. Hopefully my own company will take off soon so that I don't have to worry about stupid schedules or co-workers anymore!

I did some cleaning. A load of laundry (that's all the quarters I had). Some writing. Rearranged the living furniture to add in an antique cabinet my son didn't have room for. Thought about baking cookies. Should get some groceries but eh, maybe tomorrow.

Ah, but you forget my OCD. You can't just bring a piece of furniture to me and set it against the wall. The room has to be right. Things have to be in place. Furniture has to flow well. So I rearrange until I like how it looks.

That's what I thought, but did not feel able to mention that problem in public, so to speak.
