Shibiiri Rope Bondage...rope panties and other things

Hello A/all! How many of you are into Shibiri (edit for her silly error!!! Thanks Librarian!!), Japanese rope bondage and if so, does anyone have a good resource for it? Her past Master was wonderful at it, including the 7 diamonds, but was hoping for either a website that wasn't necessarily all porn or a good book on it. Was hoping to do some more reading on it. I also love that the goal of Shagiri is to create a pretty picture as well as make the subject one with the rope. Personally rope bondage is my favorite to both be bound and be the binder. Would love your insight or info or both! :)

What you are actually referring to is called Shibari.

Between Wizard and myself, there is a decent collection of rope sites collected here.

Japanese Rope Art is a huge trun on for me. I haven't mastered true art yet but I try and try.
I have tons of fun making a chest harness and a nice crotch rope with knots is sooo erotic to me. It really is art when done right. Anything with rope is so much fun and something that don't take a ton of cash to get into.

I enjoy Shibari, but have to say, I dn't have any great resources. What I can do and have enjoyed was with direct tutorials from friends!

A Dominant friend of mine and I worked together to do a rope dress on my submissive. It was all rather exciting for her and HE and I enjoyed the partnering we did that afternoon.

This particular tie was about 2-2.5 hours, perhaps 3. I lost count due to subspace activity. giggles. There is a tightness as well as just a sense of well-being. For me, being bound is like taking all my inside pain and bringing it to the surface and healing it. Some folks cut themselves to do that, others like spanking and bondage to do that. Although the binding did not hurt, it makes me feel secure. Not really sure I can accurately describe why it does, it just does.
 
Hey let me jump in and say I like to leave about 2 fingers under all ropes. If you can slid 2 fingers under them while they are tied then you are pretty safe. Rope will tighten as you sub wiggles and moves.
Also please have several pair of scissors handy. Never know when you may need to cut you love one or play partner out !!:cool:

here is a little hint I use for telling what size ropes are what. I dip the ends in "Tool dip" a diffrent color means a diffrent size. That way you still have the pure white but about one inch at the end is rubber coated. Also I wash mine and hang dry them so they stay white.
Just a thought thats all.......
