Back atcha, babe.

Double Acrostic

Midcoast and the harbors
Yield, nature roars, the blue you
Mossed quiet with warm cover
And in the cedars, no roof
Itching the stubborn "I",
No shriek of horn, no din.
Echo of gulls, crowcalls laughing.

Echo of gulls, crowcalls, footsteps.

Double Acrostic, My Judo?

Oh god. I knew you'd do this.

<takes a deep breath>

A Scattered Foam

Toes on the carpets Cara.
Hands in the Sun. Hips.
Eyes closed in mystery, tragic
Swaying like the wind's era.

Always I wonder darkly alert,
Never with hot intent. Rest.
Day's end nods peace. Dissolve.
Simplify. I watch my sins deter

Other peoples' guile. Please
For tunes they heard deceived
The mind's eye, turned off
Insight, bottomed me in bins. Two.

More distractions tear my heart: Granada
Evening, dusk at Sahara's mart with him.

Nothing like Sysiphus, stone
to shoulder
the pennance of passion
that sinks to lairs of gods
and is eternally reborn
stronger than the rock.

Nothing but freedom
and the feathering of wind
and new pinecones, none
less precious for disimillitude.

welcome the blister of heels over whetstone
Achilles dipped me in
but it never took

take me to those rockytops
roll my body down
feather ferns and hidden under crooked root canyons

I will pay the pennance of passion
with this search that finds
no one holds it
everyone holds it
tight to chest
beating down
the door...

love unfolds the fingers
that clench these secrets so tightly

whispers
open
knuckles

open your hands to me

dig down double deep and still it is your hand

that hand holding the lens
that hand we never see
it extends pointing back
pointing back to the mouth it feeds

the well is dry baby I need more tears
give me a drink of water
someone get me a drink of water
someone give me the courage
to dive down deep dig in double deep
to where you live

that place that matters as matter does not
give me hands of ether
so I can touch your skin

hold my breath for me baby
I have forgotten how to dive in

The truth of it is that

If you look I will show you
my hands and all the secrets
of my heart, the pieces of it
I still can hold, and if you listen
there are stories waiting in graves,
in toyboxes under dinosaurs,
stories sunken everywhere
but here.

No one knows them,
but even the telling
can not put my hand back
in Grandpop's,
let us plant lilacs
together one more time.

Anyone can hear them,
but no number can ring
a voice that remembers
the dogwood tree small
and pink once upon a time.

Anyone can know
that dogwood petals
feel like kisses on skin,
but no one is her.

How could my hands be anything
but open
holding all these memories,
not just my own, but his and hers,
too many faces I ache to recall
more clearly.

How could my hands hold less
when everything weighs nothing
more than wind?

I've tried to close them.
I can't seem to grasp or clench
anything ever again, but I rest
my palms on one heart
that still beats.

Can't Say Goodbye

The sky's greyer today.
The Sun has phoned in.
The wind's forgotten where it's going,
But I can't wonder why.

Closure tries to desert me
Hidden behind my shades.
Voices speak Heaven's tongue,
But I can't hear what they say.

Not sleepy, nor wakeful
I sit when I'm told.
Not feeling or numb,
I can't escape this scene.

I'm choked at the edge.
Wondering, if it's true,
But the world goes on
In its trembling way.

Oceans and sands
We crossed and held fast
To a love everlasting -
Seems too small and tried.

Because I can't finish the moment
That I need to get past,
And say "Goodbye"
To my Dad who's died.

Bye, Pop. I love you.

I've been thinking
around the edges of it
all day. It's not as if
we've nothing left to say

we talk all the time

he says would you jump
off the Brooklyn Bridge
just because you had
a bad day and don't
worry about money
because you'll always
have what you need
if not what you want

he tells me to use my head,
says you have a good kopf,
Chavi. Sometimes he tells me
to knock it on the wall
like he did when I said
What'll I do, Daddy
too many times, but he says
it in Yiddish and I can't
remember the words, just
the way his voice laughed
then.

there are eyes in the hayloft
that watch down from dusted corners

they call us up the ladder
built into the beams

mud wasps buzzzz and spit pay no mind
they wont watch us cross from twilight into midnight
and the eyes
the eyes we planted there years ago
do you remember
it was that day you had an idea
but could not firure out how to write it down

that was me

strip what you must
leave the rest on your backs and calves
tell tale scratch and itch

muse, you are on the wrong track
come catch up, or slow down
I hear your train whistle blowing
doppler tells me...

you have fallen asleep.
put your eyes back to the window
I wait

scratch glass
diamond eyed
diamondback
rattling all the
way down
the snake is
hungry and
yearns to be scraped
in that itch
right there
a pane of glass
and a million miles
away.

Wink Wanna Shower?

Hot rain showering all around,
pounding into my soft sensitive skin.

Tawny hair shimmering,
silken strands flowing,
down my slick wet back.

Open mouth taking nourishment,
from the Fountain Of Love.
As my taste buds explode,
from the steamy sensual drops.

Delicate fingers tracing,
blushing cheeks,
pouty pink lips.

Slow descent south,
across slender tight belly.
Hot pink nails rake,
down trembling thighs.

Dainty lil toes,
suspended on the soap dish.
Lean tan body pressed,
against the shower glass.

Jasmine permeating the air,
as steam covers every surface.
Moaning lil pants,
echoing off the walls.

Firm fingers roaming,
stroking scrumptiously,
on my spastic pink clit.

"Grasping the shower bar
gasping."
As my fondling fingers,
dive into my hot lil treasure.

Gliding so fast inside and out,
going harder,
stronger,
to my very center.

Deep inside to the very spot,
seeing stars,
as glitter rides the air.
My treasure clamps around,
my furious lil fingers.

Tight lil spasms shoot,
robbing me,
of my last screaming breath.

Wet hot honey trickles down,
clammy-tingling thighs.
Body shakes take over.
panting-panting-panting

Dainty lil foot slips,
while my fingers
reach for the bar.
Me falling on my ass,
into the slick,
wet shower floor.

Nothing hurt,
as far as I can tell.
Now that,
was my kind of shower.

There were only two beers
but I drank one so you
couldn't have it

I drained every drop
and stood up. I felt strong
and shaky at the same time.
You said that's cause you got
a little buzz on. I said naw,
I'm just tired
and I was.

I said I see you
and nothing matters
because I do
and I meant it
that I don't just see
your face, but I see
the vision in your words
and your reaching
and falling and climbing
again and I even see
past that to a child
on a beach far away
from where I ever was,

but a mother is there
and I know about mothers
who are too far away
to reach. I know
how that feels.

I see all this,
the seeds of art
that must have been born
in you as they were in me,
how they knotted, wrapped
around what you've loved
and lost.

I feel my own knots inside me.
Before I fall asleep, resting
on your chest, I think
about how to untangle them.

I listen to us breathe
and to how our two heartbeats
are never quite in sync.

Our fingers always find each other,
we hold hands and I think
about untangling knots,
I write poems in my head
that blossom into dreams.

~~~
Put on some Dr Hook music,
Sexy Eyes, Sharing the Night Together,
some Michael Bolton,
Can I Touch You There...
Light the oil burner,
with drops of ylang ylang,
rose oil,
lavender...
After a fizz balled bath
in floating rose petals...
Light white moisturiser
that needs to be
massaged in gently,
all over...
A loose fitting white shirt,
mostly unbuttoned
with nothing else
underneath...
Dance a little,
sway back and forth, slowly
letting the music seep into the soul...
Light fingertips touching,
body swelling with desire...
Paper and pen, come in handy at times.
One must remember, what they want outta life.
Brush away cake crumbs, in your writers den.
Take pen in hand, tell me what is important.
Being alone, is good for the hungry soul.
Telling what this tribulation, has meant to you.
Words come forth, whispering wants of need.
Appearing out of the air, your dream of a future.
Heart cries an echoing beat, of lost love.
Murmurings, of what could have been.
Caressing kiss of good-bye on a lovers cheek.
Long lingering looks wayfaring back, from memory lane.
Despair not my friend, of the darkened night.
Here is the land, of many a dream come true.
Wish it, on your keyboard fairy tonight.
On the morrow, will all seem but a distant thought.
Cares, worries are all the bothersome same.
Trouble in the night, we can but kiss away.
Penning doubts, fearsome fears out to dry.
Cry no more, your dream fairy is here...
My Love,
Do you know how I ache for you.
Day and night, this feeling evolves, takes over.
Sends me crashing, into the currents of desires embrace.
Taking my breath, holding it captive with the wild beast, of need.
I craving your touch, your mouth upon my moistened skin.
Thinking of our love, entrapping my body, within your binding embrace.
No need for escape, for me my love, I am yours.
Carrying you to heaven, as you do me, time and time again.
Take my mind and its feeble thoughts,
wanton wishes of our two bodies entwined.
My heart as it beats, races for you.
My body for it trembles, shakes with the want of you.
My soul, as it is already so full of love, dedicated devotion.
Inhale all that I am my love, for I have already inhaled you.
I tasted the hot silky sexiness, just as it was dripping, from your manliness.
Dined on erotica delight, dessert such puddingly sweet.
A spread that was fit for a queen, your queen of the night, my love.
Come be the king of my heart, you already own me body and soul.
Rule over this body of want, need for you, my love.
Chastise this wicked thinking queen of your heart.
Love me, your queen forever more, as I do all this and more, for you,
My Love~
went outside in my nightie at 3 a.m.
went outside
in my nightie
skimpie and no undies
at 3 a.m.
no neighbors to see
how naughty i feel
with the breeze
blowing up my legs
such a normal place
yet on my face
an unbetraying look
of confidence
a sweet memory of the sweat
that sometimes breaks out
on my brow and other places
just because I think of you.
Words spilled out like flames
lit up
a smokeless fire
it burned everything black
And I am ashes
to be swept up
because before this
I kissed the floor
on shredded knees
when you spoke
I'm not phoniex
but whatever you say
it still lifts me
paying homage
or a proper kind of
lip service
to a myth
before i miss
this grand opportunity
to sweep you up
every last bit
and keep your
smoldering essence
all for myself.
burn a punk stick at
one end alone
the full bodied smoke
finding its way
into my brain
patchouli and sandalwood
making my vision
of you more tangible
as if i can smell you
part of you
the glow at the tip
says that i burn
just like it
on the inside
behind my eyes
a small condensed
intense
burn
for you.
Buying Produce
She chooses carefully
eyeing first from a distance
then squeezing, smelling
they have to be fresh
and ripe ready to eat
melons must be tested
tapping, listening
like a timpanist test
kettledrums for just
the right sound
running fingers seductively
along the English cucumbers
and weighing the grapefruit
in cupped hands
when she passes nothing
is disturbed apples still shine
carrots bunched and grapes yearn
to be separated sweet
poatoes will always whisper
" I am a yam" to her
but she smiles
knowing better
I'm a blitzer blues
on a fast beat
catering to starining ears
jotted clutter
on a blank sheet
a compressor
turning this carbon dictionary
into Marilyn's best friends
so that I can pimp my grin
and flash a veneer of ice
your way
I'm a traffic light
on the highway
mooning my shiny
red ass whenever
I bloody please
anything to peak
my fellow man's panic
and pique your curiosity
pardon the havoc
I was only trying to say hello
but without your language
causing concepts to fall over
egos to crumble
status quos to stumble
is the best I could
ever hope to do
he began with the left cheek
pressed to his
then the right
"like the French"
I tell him they are pretty much the same
but he insists
on the symmetry
of human contact
of skin on skin
he began the week his wife died
this need to reassure himself
that the endings have not passed,
that his boundries can be broken
that he will feel a woman's softness again
even if just pressing cheeks
every sunday
after church
these heavy veils you hide under
claiming protection from the suns revenge for
full exposure, for the pleasure of soaking in, feeding off the energy
like the trees
you search for reasons to hide yourself
but truth is never as poetric
romantic or pendantic as this fantasy
you sell, weaving a glittered veil
that looks just like someone you knew
it strectches tight
with a permenant smile
slip slap stickity whack nothing means
anything
just a two bit stick whittle down to the shaded side
of the barn
we count cats
and sticky eye kitten paws that massage arms like a nipple with holding its milk
this is what I want to say
wash away the dirt down the river and nothing remains
you are already dead
the grime
of time
holds us together
come catch the leather snap
and stiop pretending that this means something
there is a knock on the door
someone said
it is time
to get paid
