Morally yes. Technically no. No president has ever not listened to the military...so no one could predict this mess. However, I do see legislation passing to prevent future presidents from having this power

Simple really. There are a small, but very devote group of Syrian Christians. They have relied on the Kurds to protect them from the Turks. The evangelicals fear another Armenian genocide.
