Anyone check out the new game Agony? A video game set in Hell, and just overflowing with sexual+torture imagery.

Walls made of flesh and bone and screams.
Tortured corpses strung up by entrails or skewered on pikes.
Crying, weeping husks of people, with eyes gouged out.
Demons with human sexual bits, but horns and extra teeth and hooves and claws and all sorts of weirdness.
Succubi who have sex with dying people, and then proceed to rip out their hearts and eat them.
Feeding weird baby-like things to giant demons.
Lots of nudity in all this imagery. In fact clothes basically don't exist.

So I saw this and this got my creative juices flowing like crazy, cause I LOVE extreme imagery like this. This put an idea into my head:
Write a story about a human who is wrongfully sent to Hell, and in their attempt to escape this labyrinth of blood and flesh and bone and teeth, befriend a female demon.
Story foreground: a romance story of a beauty/beast nature, between the human and demon.
Story background: all the imagery I described above.

MY QUESTION to you forum goers, is whether or not the background element of this story would be allowed on Literotica? It can get pretty damn nasty, and dark, and borderline snuff territory. Except it's not the focus of the story, it's the background of a horror setting, so I'm not sure.

Best answer is to write your story, submit it, and see if it flies. No better to test the waters than by jumping in. Worse that will happen would be for Laurel or Manu to say, "Thanks, but no thanks."

I agree. I think it depends entirely on how it is presented. As BuckyDuckman says, you'd have to write it and submit it.

I've written zombie-possessed-wandering-nasty-corpses and a fair amount of black ritual magic and necromancy into my stories to suggest nightmarish consequences, background atmosphere, and to provide the occasional source of threat. But the "gore-porn" level of gratuitous details were not included. Both the site and my readers accepted how I did it, and you could say I wasn't meticulous about cramming details down their throat (since, as stated, that wasn't the focus). I gave them enough to make it as vivid or as vague as they wanted it to be. From the feedback I get, it's pretty clear some barely give it thought while others delight in the next gross/unnerving idea the necromancer comes up with.

If you wrote the story, where do you think you would you put it? First impulses are Erotic Horror, Sci-Fi/Fantasy, or Non-Human.

Unfortunately my time is tight. Writing a story just to test if it can get submitted is not really viable.

Definitely non-human, as the focus of the story is on the romance and sex between a human and a demon. I'll put a warning at the start of the story about the content.

If its sex between a human and demon I'd go erotic horror because they eat up succubus stories there so a demon of any sort would probably do well.

You think so? It's a demon, but it sure isn't a succubus. Agony is playing a pretty huge role in my inspiration, so the demon in question is going to look a lot closer to this: https://i.imgur.com/Gr1Kmz2.jpg

I guess it does make sense to put it in horror, cause it's going to be a pretty disturbing, horrific story. The human and demon involved create the romance story though. Hmmmmmmmmm.

Trust me, most of the people writing succubus stories have no idea what they really are:rolleyes:

I think your best bet is horror. A demon and the setting is hell. I think that is a little off what most non human readers are looking for.

For what it's worth, Laurel was fine with me posting this one:

Catherine laughed—her hair bound him—her lips smacked and sucked
"I did promise I'd fuck you. Now, my darling? You're fucked."

He felt himself enter her—where, he knew not—
But he heard Catherine groan, "Yes, my love, that's the spot.

"You've quite opened me up. Now you'll open for me,
For your flesh is the lock and my bones are the key."

She undressed him of skin, she undressed him of meat—
"Oh, you're just what I need, to make me complete!

"Fill me up!" her lungs wheezed, "Fuck me hard, give me more!"
As their entrails entwined on the cold marble floor

"No, don't stop, my dear Callum! What's wrong? Are you tired?"
But his struggles had ceased. The poor lad had expired.

Silence settled again. Then she playfully said,
"Now at last I can see why they called the lad 'Red'."

You having a shot at finishing Christabel, Bramble? That ^^^^ is brilliant!

Thanks! It's not my usual style, but I was in a bad mood and needed to blow off steam. At the time I was mostly thinking Clive Barker, but in hindsight I think a lot of Roald Dahl snuck into the style.

Nobody pays to read stories on LIT. You are not paid for what you create here. Some LIT authors write for the market, then post here when a paid work stop selling. All else write for their own twisted satisfaction.

Your time is only as tight as you allow. You either budget time to write, edit, submit, and worry, or you don't. First-time submissions are often rejected. Expect that. Figure on delays and rewrites -- LIT's learning curve. Have fun!
