San Antonio area Litizens check in, please

Since there are getting to be quite a few San Antonio Litizens, I thought that we should have one central place to post. And as the San Antonio/west Texas DenMom, I've taken it upon myself to do this. Any complaints go in that circular file next to my desk.

For those of you who do not know me, I'm Blue. Also known as BlueDaisy, Daisy and "that bitch". Well, they don't use that last one to my face, but I'm sure it has been tossed about here and there. LOL!

I will let the others introduce themselves as they see fit. If you are new and we don't know you yet, please jump right in. We don't bite...hard...unless you ask.

This past Saturday night, 3 of us met for a fun evening of mirth, laughter, hard drinking and an orgy followed. Oh...wait...that was just the dream I had. In reality, SaraPet and her kids, tbryant, and my family met in a child-friendly atmosphere. We ate pizza, the kids played and the adults got to chat.

We want to have another mini-LitTogether soon, so put your thinking caps on. It can be adult only (preferably), or family oriented. We can meet for dinner, or just coffee or something harder some afternoon or evening.

I guess that is all for now. Please jump in and post, folks. We ought to get to know each other, since we spend so much time together online! *grin*.

This group can include anyone in the central Texas area and west Texas. Actually, if you are within easy driving distance of San Antonio, we'll claim you.

Oh...that reminds me....don't forget about the Austin LitTogether on 22 Feb.

I'm a west Texas guy. Currently I'm in Abilene, but I may be moving to San Antonio in the not to distant future. Just wanted to say hi. I'm headed out of town for about a week tomorrow, so I'll be out of touch for a few days.

Maybe my wife and I can attend a future meeting. No promises as I'm the open minded one, but we will see.

Welcome to you, too, OSA. Abilene to SA....are you military?

I hope that you and your wife will get together with us, whenever we do it again. Nothing set up as of yet.

Does your wife know about your Lit involvement? My hubby knows about my posting on Lit, and my writing stories for it, but he doesn't know what I post about.

Check back in with us when you get back home. And don't be a Lit Lurker....jump in anywhere; lots of subjects to get involved in.

Hi Minnie. Nice to "see" you again. Yeah, I know why you hang out with us SA folks....it is bacause there isn't a west Texas Lit "group"! LOL!

Well, when one lives the life of a military wife, Air Force in this case, it is natural to assume that a move from Abilene (Dyess AFB) to San Antonio (Brooks AFB, Lackland AFB, Randolph AFB and formerly, Kelly AFB) would be a military one. I guess it is time for hubby to retire when I start thinking like that. lol

Blue, Minnie is right (thanks Minnie!) - I'm not military. I just like Texas. My job situation is drying up in Abilene, so I may be headed to San Antonio if things work right.

My wife knows I get some interesting ideas for things to try from the internet. She doesn't know about Lit specifically. I just started posting recently when Minnie asked if there were any Lit folks in West Texas. Couldn't resist responding to one of the other 2 or 3 Abilenean's on this board. I hope to ease her into my participation out here, but I have to take it slow.

Blue, your husband must an AF lifer - you've got the mentality for it (that's not meant as a bad thing - please don't take it as such). You see AF migration patterns in people's movements.

I really think that is the only reason folks come to Abilene, besides school that is. as for a WT Group, how would we ever get together....wide open spaces make it hard to meet in the middle....just kidding. Minnie, I think my wife would view this board as a negative thing if thrust upon her. She's a very traditional "sex is for the bedroom" kind of person. Over the years I've warmed her up to be a bit more open minded, but I still have to warm her up to things like this. If she knew I posted regularly out here about personal things (even though most of this isn't THAT personal), it would shock her. So, for now, she doesn't know I post out here. She thinks I read "some place on the internet" to get new ideas of things to experiment with.

Did that make sense? I think I'm catching your flu over the net b/c I can't re-read my own sentences and decipher them.

I think it is great that you share your finding with your wife. I too have the tendancies (what the hell am I spelling?) to think bedroom is bedroom, etc. of course I am single, so most things do occur in the bedroom...hehehehe

No offense taken; I knew what you meant by that (mentality, that is). You are right...I tend to see "AF migration patterns", especially when one moves from a town that has a base to here; I just automatically think that.

I hope you can ease your wife in to the Lit thing. Would be nice if you could share with her openly.

I like your description....and acre of passion.....I hope you find what (or whom) you seek. Best advice....post around on various threads (not advertising, but discussion whatever topic the thread happens to be about), make yourself known to folks, let them get to know you, etc.
