Conway - People who lose medicaid can always get a job

Here's the thing, right... no, they can't. And furthermore, they shouldn't have to get a job just to be able to live and breathe. The problem is that you have corporate greed causing medical costs to skyrocket through the roof, and normal people cannot afford it.

What about benefits? What benefits? Coporate is killing benefits by hiring part time employees, shrinking the schedules down to bare bones, and doing everything in their power to fuck employees with loopholes in the law. Just ask your local pharmacist why it's legal for CVS to force pharmacists to stand on their feet for 14 hours with no break. (Not all states)

As a country, we seriously need to let go of the pride we have about our form of Capitalism. Free healthcare will be fine. Just let it go, conservatives. You're about to lose your social security that you've been paying into all your life into anyway.

Until you place heavy regulations on Corporate, jobs will be essentially indentured sevitude. And I'm no servant, which is why Sallie Mae can take this student loan and shove it. I'll pay the minimal monthly but nothing more.

What the Clinton supporters will say is that I voted for it. However, this problem spans both sides. Both sides have politicians who benefit with their own super special healthcare and financial support. Corporate will slip some thousands in a Liberal politican's back pocket just as easy as they will a Conservative. The Democrats are not immune.

Until the words "Free Healthcare and Free Education" is uttered, I'm not interested. Because "affordable healthcare" doesn't include me anyway. And I'm a bit selfish. I have about 20-30 years left on this dreadful planet assuming a crazed Mormon terrorist doesn't get to me first. And yeah, I'm not having kids - you're welcome, unborn kids and world. So, I matter a bit more to me than anybody else.
 
Healthcare is a huge conundrum. Whatever system you pick leads to some tough financial choices but whichever way you look at it, the healthcare system we have now is unbelievably fucked up. Obamacare is a disaster. What preceded it wasn't that great. What's going to succeed it, who knows.

Socialized medicine is just as bad tho. The NHS in the UK is sinking fast under the cost. The Canadian system isn't bad but tough if you have something they don't cover and the taxation cost is enormous for their provinces. It probably averages out better and you don't go bankrupt on basic medical problems but the impact tax wise is huge. Be interesting to see if California can make a single payer system work if they go down that route.

I've never been a fan of her. The reason is a bit odd. You see, when Donald Trump was elected, you used an avatar of one of the worst photos of her. She is already ugly but that picture made her look terrible.

So, I thought that was a picture of you until I realized who she actually was. And ever since then, I picture you looking like her and her being you.

Maybe somebody out there thinks I'm a sexy feminine android from a videogame.

Well, so Corporate is killing us from both sides. Corporate is in the politician's back pocket, corporate is (most peoples) source of a job, and corporate is how we get our goods including education and healthcare.

That's like... the worst conflict of interest ever. It's the New England Patriots of rapists. (That was a figure of speech for a figure of speech. Figure of Speech Inception!)

So really, when people think of Healthcare... they are thinking about both their livelihood AND their ability to receive a service. This creates it's own conundrum and the easiest thing to do is point to the people who benefit from the system yet don't put anything into the system.

But that raises the question - is it really those unemployed people's fault? Well maybe. But maybe not so much. Who is benefitting the most from healthcare? The rich. Wait, which way? Receiving income or getting benefits and services? Ah! Both.

But Chris, people die because they can't get the treatment they need. Yeah, people die when they can get the treatment they need, too. Actually, we live so long in today's world that our ballsacks can't take it anymore and they just fall to the ground. Evolution didn't prepare for 100-year-old swinging testicles!

Is she under the impression that all Medicaid recipients are unemployed? It's easy to get out of touch in Washington, but she is, or at least was, a pollster. That betrays a giant misunderstanding of what real life is like for tens of millions of Americans.

A lot of people have no idea. I didn't until I started working and realized for myself. Tiy grown up in this kind of insulated environment and people like her, pollsters or not, they never get out of their bubble. I did and it sure opened my eyes.

Yep. You never know when you're working side-by-side with somebody who has Medicaid. We had a pharmacist who's kid was on Medicaid. Just the little kid. I didn't know the details, and I didn't want to ask because that's rude... but yep, and his dad had a well-paying job.

Maybe the kid could get a job?

SOmeone should tell that idiot that the Senate Bill NO LONGER penalizes employers with over 50 employees for not providing health insurance for their employees.

Add to that they can now go shop around in any state for the most crap coverage possible INCLUDING no pre-existing coverage, and even if you have a job that's not guarantee of ANYTHING

You think you're safe because you get insurance through your employer? Think again
