Looking to brainstorm ideas on a U.S. Civil War story.

In my idea: The South is on the verge of victory. The Confederates storm into Washington and capture Lincoln and his wife in the White House. They are then brought to Richmond (the confederate capital) in custody. The terms of their release are simple: Lincoln announces the surrender of the Union and recognizes the Confederate States of America. But, of course, he is defiant.

He and Mary Todd are kept separate. One day, Mary Todd asks her guard if she could meet with President Jefferson Davis and his wife. The meeting is granted.

She addresses them by stating that she recognized the defeat of the Union and the South's independence. They welcome her remarks but they mean nothing unless her husband says them. Then she fills and says something else.

She says that once the war ends and the South wins, she wants to declare herself a citizen of the Confederacy. Jefferson is shocked and confused but his wife recognizes what this is about -- Mary Todd has realized the joy of submission.

Anyone want to help me brainstorm some ideas after that?

Honestly? I doubt Lit is packed with Mary Todd Lincoln submission fetishists. I certainly wouldn't click on it.

But that's no reason not to do it; it's your story. I just wouldn't expect much readership.

What is erotic here? Does Mary offer oral sex to the Davises? Is the Davis's household slave Mary Bowser (a Union spy) sexually involved? In 1865, Mary Lincoln (she didn't use the Todd name) was 47, had already lost two of her four sons (one only two years before), and seemingly was bipolar. Did the Davises try to exploit her pain?

Where the story goes depends on how you see it ending. Does Mary somehow persuade Abraham to concede defeat? Do the Davises blackmail Abraham by getting him drunk or opiated and turning a slave girl onto him? Assuming that Jefferson Davis's first wife Sarah hadn't died young and had produced children, was Mary sexually intimate with those younger Davises? Do the Lincolns manage to assassinate the Davises and lead the Union to victory?

You could probably get more erotica out of Abe, who was reported to have slept with his male secretary (probably driven to it a shrew of a Mary Todd).

Lincoln would never surrender. Skinny guys fight 'til they're burger.

Yeah, I never picked Abe as a luzer.

I am a descendent of Jefferson Davis... Davis was a total bottom. Lincoln would have railed his ass and Davis would have loved every second of it
Thanks for the personal connection!

How do we work Mary into that story? Does she peg Jeff's second wife Vanna (a MILFy 38 in 1865) with a double-ended narwhal strap-on lubed with baby fat? Do any of the Davis' comely slave girls assist with fingers, and tongues, and splashes of linseed oil and spermaceti? Before Abe spews a hot load into Jeff''s open anus, does Mary sit on the traitor's face and piss in his mouth?

Has Mary Bowers, household slave and Union spy, set a wet-plate camera in the closet next to the Davis' bedroom to capture the Confederates' forbidden acts? Do widely-published engravings of the photos cause a popular revulsion that brings down the Davis administration and cements Union victory?

After Robt E Lee accedes to Davis' order to sign articles of surrender, are the entire Confederate leadership and their wives sent to skanky DC brothels as sex slaves? Are they fucked dry, or lubed with pig lard? History wants to know.

I'm with those who couldn't see including Mary in any of this.

OP wants her so we're stuck with her. Here in LIT fantasyland we can transform her into whatever we wish. Her madness (and lots of exercise) turns her into a stunning MILFy vamp who fucks her way through the Davis household after her capture. Or she's blackmailed by a Russian spy in what eventually leads to Seward's Folly (USA buying Alaska) a couple of years later. Throw in her seduction of Mark Twain and her BBC lovers. Should be easy.

Mary Todd Lincoln was rumoured to be a lesbian (thus a perfect beard for Abe- ouch....sorry about the pun!).

When I vision Mary Todd, what I see is Julie Harris (who I saw play her as a crazy dishrag on stage) and Sally Fields (who played her as a crazy dishrag on screen).

Now Abe was a big man and slept around with other men. And more up my writing alley.

My idea for the scene:

Mary says she agrees. The Union cause is over. The Confederacy has won. But then she goes one step further. She wants to join the Confederacy once the war ends.

Jefferson is shocked why. But Varna, his wife, recognizes it. Jefferson and her were born to lead and to rule over others. Mary believed she and her husband were. But their inevitable defeat has made her realize this is not the case. Her role is to be a party to surrender and she loves every bit of it.

Mary admits this is true. She denounced the Union and her husband. And she agrees to become Madame President's servant. And, of course, Jefferson has his way with her.

Eventually, the Union's army is crushed. The only way to stop the Confederacy from moving north and pillaging all it sees is for Lincoln to come to his senses. He is brought before Davis and several of his cabinet. And there he agrees to their terms. The Confederacy has won.

But even more, after the ink is dried, Jefferson orders Mary to rise. Then he has her tell the room what she said earlier. And in front of her husband, she is sworn in by Davis as the first resident of the North to migrate to the Confederate States of America.

What would the reaction from the Cabinet be? They were not privy to this. Varna's? Abe's?

Again, where is the eroticism? LIT readers will want sex and maybe its consequences. How would you tart-up Mary? What sorts of forbidden sex (the best kinds!) are involved?

And the backstory: Do you visualize an alt.history extrapolation like McKinley Kantor's IF THE SOUTH HAD WON THE CIVIL WAR where the Union lost because drunken US Grant fell from his horse, breaking his neck? Or like Harry Turtledove tales with time-traveling rednecks giving the Confeds M16s and satellite maps? WHY does the South win?

Presumably you realize that Mary Todd Lincoln was southern born and raised (Kentucky--Jefferson Davis was born and raised there too) and remained more southern than northern throughout her life. I don't see that woven into the scenario provided.

But sure, write that one up as you please, and submit it to Literotica.

I think your main problem is that there are images aplenty of her available to readers and they'll see her as a dumpy little thing. Not particularly erotic.
