Here as in, on a device, on the internet.

Steve Jobs idolized this dude.

You progressives are nothing but a bunch of two-faced jerks.

You keep batting your eyelashes in such a silly patronising way "Look minorities, I'm so kind to you unfortunates, by being a keyboard warrior"
- while encouraging and defending racist xenophobic homophobic attack alts.

I detect a certain cognitive disconnect, or at least an unfamiliarity with Andy Grove's place in the world. Or maybe it's merely a severe case of Digital Tourette's Syndrome.

As it happens, I ran into Grove at a few West Coast Computer Faires back in the day. Nice fella. Grove taught me the secret of trade-show endurance: Do not drink coffee. You will spend too much of the day waiting in line to piss. Instead, eat chocolate-covered roasted espresso beans. High energy with an empty bladder!

Awesome anecdote - thanks for posting this. (And good advice.)

You're welcome. I'll whip out the Woz, Gordon Eubanks, Gary Kildall, Grace Hopper, and Leonard Nimoy stories later. But I'd better not mention the Tim and Christina O'Reilly stuff. Not even on LIT...

I read further down the Andy Grove wiki page I linked above and was reminded that he wrote one of the great management books: ONLY THE PARANOID SURVIVE. It probably applies to politics too.
