Warmer = less sex?

Don't let those actual numbers fool you people. Those were obviously manipulated by the liberal media going back to 1931. Ish says it's a lie so it's a god damn lie!

It's a dumb study because everyone already knows you have less sex when it's really hot. Applying it to climate change is a scare tactic.
Denying climate change is silly and political.

Really? Then perhaps you'd care to explain why it is the closer you get to the equatorial belt the higher the fertility rate. Perhaps those folks are making frequent trips to the Arctic Circle for the purposes of fucking?

Some things that should be considered with that:

What Factors Affect Birth Rates and Fertility Rates

Key factors affecting a country's average birth rate and TFR are the following:

•Importance of children as a part of the labor force.

Rates tend to be higher in developing countries (especially in rural areas, where children begin working to help raise crops at an early age).

•Urbanization.

People living in urban areas:

•usually have better access to family planning services
•tend to have fewer children than those living in rural areas where children are needed to perform essential tasks.
•Cost of raising and educating children.

Rates tend to be lower in developed countries, where raising children is much more costly because children don't enter the labor force until their late teens or early twenties.

•Educational and employment opportunities for women.

TFRs tend to be low when women have access to education and paid employment outside the home.

In developing countries, women with no education generally have two more children than women with a secondary school education.

•Infant mortality rate.

In areas with low infant mortality rates, people tend to have less children because fewer children die at an early age.

•Average age at marriage (more precisely, the average age at which women have their first child).

Women normally have fewer children when their average age at marriage is 25 or older.

•Availability of private and public pension systems.

Pensions eliminate parent's need to have many children to help support them in old age.

•Availability of legal abortions.

According to the UN and the World Bank, an estimated 26 million legal abortions and 20 million illegal (and often unsafe) abortions are performed worldwide each year among the roughly 190 million pregnancies per year.

•Availability of reliable birth control methods.

Typical effectiveness rates of birth control methods in the US:

• Extremely/Highly Effective
• Effective
• Moderately Effective/Unreliable

•Religious beliefs, traditions and cultural norms.

In some countries, these factors favor large families and strongly oppose abortion and some forms of birth control.

I think fertility rates are higher the closer you get to the equator because condoms are more likely to melt.

Fucking dumbass Michael Bloomberg has gulped prodigious quantities of the Kool-Aid.

Meanwhile, back in real science where empiricism, evidence and actual observations are supposed to operate:

ISH SAID IT'S A LIE, SO IT'S A LIE!

http://reliefweb.int/report/niger/nigers-high-birth-rate-caused-religion-poverty

Niger's high birth rate caused by religion, poverty

....

Women in the northwest African country have an average of eight children each, a birth rate attributed to a strict adherence to Islam, young marriages and poverty.

....

In the old quarters of Maradi city, signs of the region's Islamic religion, the multi-colored minarets of mosques, towered above the narrow streets.

Islam is seen as one of the main reasons for Niger's high birth rate.

El Hadj Sabiou, a preacher at the mosque in the Limantchi neighborhood, said procreation is dictated to the faithful in the Koran, Islam's holy book.

"The Koran says: 'To better propagate the faith, the Islamic Oumah (community) must procreate, a lot'," he said.

Islam also allows polygamy.

"Once they have a little money, men marry at least two women. If each one has eight children, add it up!," said Nagodje Maman, a teacher with two wives and the father of 14 children.

According to the United Nations children's agency, UNICEF, teenage marriages are also another reason for so many births.

In Niger, "about 60 percent of youths are under the age of 18. Many girls marry at age 15 or younger, and they can have children up until they are 45 years old," said Jean Lieby, a UNICEF expert in Maradi.

And women rarely protest. "It's the men who decide. You risk your reputation if you refuse to give birth," says Zeinabou in her 13th labor.

For the past 15 years, Islamic fundamentalists have waged a campaign undermining official programs promoting contraceptives, calling them "the evil work of the West."

Feeling frisky? You're not alone! Forget summer loving - it's COLD weather that makes men more amorous, study reveals

If you notice your bedroom activities heating up as the temperatures cool down, it seems you are not alone.

Men want sex more in the winter, according to new research.

Scientists found that men were more aroused by revealing pictures of women during colder months than they were during the summer.

In a new study, 114 men were asked to rate the attractiveness of several women every three months over the course of one year.

Once every three months, each man was asked to rate two sets of photos. One showed only women's faces and the other showed their bodies - either in a bathing costumers or close-up shots of the women's covered breasts.

The researchers found that men's attraction to women's faces did not change during the course of the year.

However, their attraction to women's bodies did.

They reported noticeably increased levels of arousal over the more revealing pictures in the months of December, January and February - the winter months - than they did in the three summer months of June, July and August.

Furthermore, men who were in the same romantic relationship over the course of the entire study reported similar fluctuations in how attracted they were to their partner. Specifically, men thought their lovers were hotter in the winter than the summer.

The results were published on the influential blog, The Psychology of Human Sexuality, which examines sexual behaviour.

They are supported by research by sex toy firm Lovehoney which found that people have more sex in December than any other month.

One reason for the difference in sexual arousal levels could be that the bar for what qualifies as hot is higher in the summer.

In the winter, skin is rarely seen, so it becomes more novel and arousing to look at.

In the summer, when we are on the beach and bikinis are a common sight, it takes greater stimulus to get men excited.

Lets re-settle all to Antarctica and Greenland.

Looks like we need to stop sending food and mosquito nets to Africa and air drop some social justice warriors instead.

When it's cold the sex doesn't last as long. I just want to get back under the covers.

Colder = less sex.

This explains why we Canadians are such a sexy group in general. We peel off the parkas and mukkluks and get busy!
