In the case of vintage porn, (in addition to fair use laws), I believe copyrights expire 75 years after the end of the authors life. Generally, anything before the 1920s, the copyright has already expired. Even some of the 1920s and 30s copyrights have expired. Certainly, the copyrights on Victorian porn has expired.

Personally I didn't see anything wrong with the pics. Atleast he was honest about not owning or taking them.

Well, since I have no idea how old they are I will err on the side of caution and delete them.
Since we are on the subject of copyrights, the picture of the Playboy Magazine cover with Marilyn Monroe is clearly copyrighted. The cover can be no older than 1953, (when Playboy published it first issue), and no later than 1962, (when Marilyn Monroe died). And since Playboy is still in business, they still hold the copyright to every picture they published. Just an FYI, since I know you wouldn't want to play favorites.
Actually, since I looked at the picture again, it says 1st issue, so that would be December of 1953. (as per Wikipedia)

Those are linked off-site and not hosted by Literotica's servers. Rule 3 says to not upload them. It's just a link, thus not uploaded.

This gives me a good opportunity to ask for a clarification on the picture posting rules. I see many new pics posted every day around the various neighborhoods of Literotica that contain URLs ("pinned by sex.com etc.") but they're mostly linked via an image-hosting site. Do the posting rules, such as the one prohibiting pictures that contain URLs or other advertisements apply only to uploaded attached photos or to all photos, even those that are linked? The same question applies to photos depicting sexual activities that are clearly not "soft pornography" as stated in the posting guidelines.

If it's just linked it can stay. If it's imbedded in the post, it goes. At least here in Fet. Other mods let everything go unless someone reports the violation.
An attachment is a pic that's uploaded to Lit's servers, thus should be edited out if it's not taken by the poster him/herself.

There was nothing wrong with the pics as they were. But Literotica does not want to host copywritten material, ie pics that someone else owns. And when a user posts a pic via the attachment feature, then Lit is hosting that copywritten picture on their server. And that is something they do not want.
