WRITING CHALLENGE REVIEW THREAD ~ FEBRUARY 2015

Just a few little rules for this thread:-

• This thread is for comments and reviews only. Submissions go here!

• Please keep your comments focused on the pieces posted for the challenge running from 1st – 28th February 2015 only, this is not really intended to be a thread for conversation/flirting/mayhem and so on (Sorry to be a bore!). Writers should be able to find reviews/comments for their pieces without having to trawl through pages of banter (no matter how amusing/sexy it might be!) :)

Readers/Reviewers:- Please keep your comments and reviews polite and, wherever possible, positive. If you have constructive criticism or advice for writers please do give it but be polite about it! You don’t have to like everything you read but if you really don’t have anything nice to say about something then I would suggest you refrain from posting. And if all you want to say is you liked a piece and no more…that’s great too! We all know how writers like to be appreciated! ;)

Authors:- Please take constructive criticism as it is intended, as an attempt at improving possible flaws/problems/areas of confusion in your piece. They are not (hopefully!) personal attacks on you or your work.

• This is supposed to be a fun way to get to know new writers and potential partners, to exercise our writing brains, it’s not a competition, please keep that in mind!

• One more thing…suggestions for future prompts are very welcome and should be PM’d to me – Britwitch – as a link ideally. :)

Previous challenges and reviews can be found here.

Happy reading!

I knew it would be worth the wait! ;)
This was so well written, I loved the links to all of the prompts - you clever thing, you! - and the descriptions were, as always, beautiful to read. I felt like you really captured her feelings about their relationship.
Awesome, lovely! :rose:

I thought it only fair that I reread each of these pieces, if I was going to post my reviews. Of course that was no hardship, not with pieces as wonderfully written as these. I'm going to do my very best to express the depths of my enjoyment.

Tongue kisses - Alice, oh Alice! The things your words do to me. They always fit their way deep into the dark hidden places where all my secret thoughts and wants lie. I loved this piece so much ... maybe too much. So much so that I couldnt help finding a way to reference it in my own piece. ;)

None I Say - Fr33k, I am always made speechless by how much emotion and meaning you are able to conjure in so few words. Your talent for imagery is astounding, and inspiring. I always enjoy reading your pieces. :)

Now then, that only leaves a beauty that has been patient long enough! *winks*

Taking Flight - Brit I've already told you how much I loved this piece. What I have not said is the way it made my imagination come alive. It's one thing to read a story and have it form itself with every minute detail clearly in your mind's eye, as stories so often do with me. But it's quite another to read a story that makes you wish you were a living character in that world. That's what this piece did to me, it had me wanting to chase adventure and ride the wind along with your hero and heroine. I adored it!
