Bread (gluten free) baking in the bread machine, chicken marinating in the marinade I made with my vitamix, chicken jerky for my pup in the dehydrator. When did I become such a gadget girl?

Looking at that chart, it makes me reminisce how much I used to invest in cassette tech. I must've went through dozens of Walkmans and still rocked them even when the MiniDisc came out, which was supposed to be the cassette killer.
I'm loathe to discard my favorite CDs, just because I want that solid resource to re-rip from should something happen to my digital files. Also, I like tangible things.
I've also got a shit-ton of digital music I don't listen to frequently or much if not beyond the one time I either ripped it from CD or downloaded it from the 'net, way back when I thought I had infinite storage to fill and I wanted the coolness of having a huge library to search from. But you always go back to your favorites. Gonna be doing a big-time digital cleansin' and dumpin' this spring, I reckon.

Pity those with vast video libraries. Convert, convert, convert. Or surrender control. (My floppies, my poor, sad floppies.)

I had milk crates eight blocks deep filled with VHS tapes of shows, series and of course, porn. I was making virtual walls of stackable cassette file cases. I still think I have my 5" floppies from grade school computer class somewhere in a dusty desk drawer back home, if me mum didn't throw it all out.
I've still got thirty or forty Zip Discs and 44mb-to-88mb SyQuests in my office desk from the glorious mid-to-late '90s, when computer storage evolution ruled. Why am I holding onto those shits? Well, I do have a USB reader for the Zips if I really wanna revisit old times, but the SyQuests are only good for paperweights or book dividers.
aiiiieeee those early years of bitter designer struggle...memories...

Even more unexpected. I'm not even sure how he expects me to respond to that, but I most definitely will not be anyone's backup plan.

Regulation length of a NBA game is 48 minutes...
...Philadelphia Warrior Wilt Chamberlain holds the NBA record for most points scored in a game; the Stilt racked-up 100 against New York in a 169-147 win over the Knickerbockers on March 2, 1962.
Chamberlain averaged 48.5 minutes per game that 1961-62 season...
...he played every minute of every game during the course of it, including overtimes.
To demonstrate how much more the NBA game has changed in the past 51 years...
...there is no video footage of Wilt's historic 100-pt feat because the NBA didn't rate much television coverage back then; heck, not a single member of the NYC press, and just a bit over 4,000 fans, attended the game.
...............The Stilt's 100th
Chamberlain also averaged over 25 rebounds in that awesome season, one that also saw Oscar Robertson average a triple-double over the course of it, too.
It is reported that 3rd-year pro Wilton Chamberlain earned $45,000 playing in the NBA that year...
