I'd hate to be held responsible for the panty-dropping by posting pics of my pecs.

My panties have never fallen off at the sight of pec pics.

How do you get a 25 lb cat to take his meds when her really, really doesn't want to?

of course I should have asked what form the meds are in.

Usually vets will give in a paste if possible for felines. Their OCD compels them to clean it off their paw when you wipe a gob there.

Liquid antibiotics given with a syringe. He is very strong and whips his head around like a wild thing. I've gotten his meds in his eye, his ear, and a little in his mouth. It's funny because the vet and her assistant couldn't get blood or urine samples from the big guy without sedating him......but I'm supposed to be able to give him these meds. Frustrating.

Cat bag. Get an old pillow case and cut a hole for his head only. Bundle him up in as tight as you can without injury (to yourself or him)

Tilt his head back as far as you can. Don't try to pry his mouth open, but slide the syringe down the inside of his cheek and give the squirt quick.

When I say bundle, I mean swaddle like a baby.

And if you are on your own, don't try to hold him down with one arm. Instead put the swaddled bundle between your knees while you kneel on the floor. Let your weight (just a bit of it) help subdue him as you use your hands to hold head and squirt.

Excellent advise! I willdo this and report back.

Yes....preferably with extreme caution. I have more scars from freakin cats than I do dogs, horses, cattle, deer, goats...etc.

Vicious little monsters when they want to be. There is a reason vets have padded gloves that go up to the shoulders for handling felines.

Will Pentax Screw Extension Tubes extend your member?

The box says "Automatic Extension Tube, 3-ring set".

^^ this except I skip the bag and as mentioned later, just swaddle them in a towel/blanket as tight as possible making sure all paws are secured in the blanket! ^^

And I hold him between my knees so he can't scatter.

Now...to brine or not to brine?

A turkey. Not my cat.
