Just think, Samsung could make a buttload if you could tap a Note/Galaxy with a Samsung Ultrabook and have it sync right away.
I guess maybe this would be funnier if you imagined holding up your ultrabook on the street to tap your friends phone.
OK, still probably not amusing to the masses. I'm probably trying too hard.

NFCs are set standards, so I'm wondering why OEMs haven't sorted that out yet. I edit MS Office docs on my phone, so I have to imagine that loads of others do too. Plus, it would be a lot easier to sync music and movies. Just lay it on top and walk away.

Zehrs cupcakes exceed the perfect cake to icing ratio.
Someone should do something about this.

I'm seriously considering selling off some of my harddrives. I really thought the day would never come, but I think Spotify has put the final nail in the coffin for me.
Yes, I'll always have to have some storage room for things they will never offer, but with my fear of losing data and constantly backing up to writeable media/externals each month and with how large FLAC collections can get, it seems defeating.
Yes, FLAC will always be better quality. But do am I going to really hear that quality difference day to day? Do I care enough to manage the upkeep?
I'm thinking the switch may come soon.

I know it's very paranoid of me, but I really loathe offsite backups that are leased on hardware and in buildings one doesn't actually own.
If something were to happen to the company, I'm out the money and data.
Not saying that should be an issue for everyone, but it doesn't work for my paranoia level.

In that case, Blu-Ray allows for permanent archiving for about $0.04/GB. Comes in 128GB disks.
And they'll last 50-100 years?
Go nuts.

No...it's too MUCH I tell you. The icing is like two inches thick!
The red dye is in the icing. You can have your pick of "rth" or spiderman's left foot.

I'm fascinated by thermoelectric generators.
Do people know that you can turn heat into electricity without any moving parts and simply because of temperature differences?
Fascinating stuff!
