Half elf and half.... Something. Grew up with the elves but I was always running away, so been in the wild for as long as I can remember. Ran away when I was young, about 15 years of human age, stole to get by. I look more like a cat than an elf. Cat like features in the ears and in the eyes with piercing green stare, markings and colors on my body is that of a leopard. The shape of my body though is that of an elf, small 5'2 in height, slender and extremely well built. Hair goes to the middle of my back, very thick and surprisingly well tamed with the blackness of a black panther, not something you would expect of a wild one. Wore simple clothes, something to try and fit in when she was in the village. Not that it would matter, he hid within her cloak so no one would notice her. The beautiful markings and cat like ears and eyes made her stand out. Other than that, she wore a leather vest tight around her chest that laced up the front. Leather pants and knee high boots. It made it easier to run and escape if she was to get caught stealing.
There was a cave deep in the woods that always struck her, it was like no other cave she could feel it deep down. There was something in there, or it lead to somewhere. It didn't hold any creatures within it. She knew this because she has been watching it for sometime, no tracks, no remnants of animal or any creature. Looked like the mouth of fresh cave.
It had scared for the longest time, yet, everyday she would come here. Daring herself to go in, then never going in, backing out on her own dares. Finally, this was the day she would go in. Taking in a deep breath while looking around to make sure no one was following her. There was no reason for anyone to follow, she had been good about stealing for a week. Hasn't touched anything that she couldn't buy or traded. Slowly she went in, wondering and hoping that this cave is safe, perhaps she will make it into a home later on.
Once she stepped in everything went black, even the opening behind her went black, like a door closed but there was none. Having to adjust her eyes, with having this other breed in her she was able to at least make out the shadowy shape of where the wall was. Just barely, it was enough for her to use her hand along it and guide her to where this place led.
For the longest time it was hard to tell if her eyes were opened or closed. This tunnel seemed to reach and never end, luckily the wall was smooth and no spiders or even webs were found. At first she had to blink a few times when she saw the wall ahead of sparkling. Still no light, just shimmering glitter off the wall. This followed as she got closer the light started to shine from some room.
It hurt her eyes as she entered the room, it had bright, gleaming jewels and gold surrounding a table. Huge spacious room with a massive fireplace that had gargoyles bordering it. A dining table that reached from on end of the room to about half way across, with only two chairs on each end. Pillars with various statues up and down them of gargoyles and dragons that seemed to move in the shadows. A huge, ceiling to floor mirror stretched along another wall.
What attracted her the most was the box that was on the table. What thief wouldn't be attracted to such things. This was empty of life except hers, as far as she could tell there was nothing here to lead into another room. Cautiously she crept her way towards the table, tracing her fingers over the box then lifting the lid. Inside was the most beautiful necklace she has ever seen in all her life.
Black and red and blue diamonds ran throughout the whole piece, when she held it up to her neck it stretched down her chest, just above the top of her breast. It was connected to what would be a choker as it fastened around her neck. Wanting to put it on, wanting to keep it, but this would buy her things that she could only dream of.
Her heart was pounding suddenly getting the feeling that she should leave. Simply ignored it for now as she started to skim through the rest of the treasure.
