Oh, it has to be lazy. Let's face it - welfare really doesn't pay much and, if they were greedy, they'd get off their butts and try to make something of themselves. So, I think they're not greedy at all, just too lazy to try to do better.

People on welfare, especially if they have children, sometimes take in more money for just sitting around than some working people do. It's not right, but it's the way it is. Even so, people who are greedy won't settle for living off welfare unless they have a scam going where they get money from several different jurisdictions. Those people I would call mostly greedy.

Strict regulation is the key, I think.

I'm all for helping people that need help, but welfare was started for farmers then the corrupt democrats made it into a hand out program. now its abused. clearly, we have multi generations living off welfare and have no problem. not only do these people need to be removed from welfare, but do some jail time and pay back all the money that they stole from the tax payer

I know I am embarking on a fool's errand, but show me one law--federal or state--that makes it a crime for qualified citizens to apply for and accept welfare.
