The opposite of humble pie (Warning: offensive)

I just want to be clear on this –

It’s ok for a woman to run rampant with opinion, whether that pointedly, and personally, attempts to disgrace another or not. When she does that, she’s just exercising her strength as a woman – it’s to be commended. If a man does the very same thing – he’s an asshole attempting to suppress a woman’s right to herself.
Is that how it is? Cause I just want to be someone’s clown……………….. NOT!

Before anyone terms me ‘off subject’ – I didn’t create this battle of the sexes? ( I much prefer to join in union, than conflict - yet I refuse to be spanked ) I’m a fucking man! And I always will be. AND - no one knows how to find the woman within, better than I can. No one knows how to hold that tender heart, better than me. I AM understanding. At the same time, I am the beast that is man. I’m gonna stand and deliver. And I’m not gonna take any shit – it doesn’t matter if that ‘shit’ is coming from a man or a woman, I’m not going to accept inaccurate comments of my character either way. And I’m going to protect those I wish to protect.

If anything, men have become weak in the face of the feminist movement (one I support). Soon we’re all going to have our thumbs in our mouth, wondering when mommy is coming home.
I ask you, ladies, is that what you really want?

Now, I’ve made my speech. Any further questions and comments regarding my personal views, can simply be re-directed to what I said right here. I won’t visit this particular subject again. And I’m sure I’ll be less eager to post in the future due to backlash. So fuck me, eh.

I just don't want anyone to feel like they're unwelcome here, or like I'm picking on them as webmaster of the site. It's hard for me sometimes because I post here on some issues as the webmaster, but on other issues just as myself. When I was picking on you earlier, it was just as me - Laurel - not as Literotica or whatever.

I don't believe that anyone was actually male bashing. If anything, I think there has been a bit of female bashing on this board. I don't want to start anything here, just stating what I've noticed. It just really pisses me off when a guy blames PMS when a woman has a strong opinion. It's so childish and I wish we could all get past that. I think everyone's opinion is valid and we should not degrade those opinions by blaming PMS or calling that person an asshole simply because of their sex. If you don't agree with something, just say so and let's not get into the name calling, it's beneath us all. In the words of another famous King, "can't we all just get along?"

I agree with Eve. The PMS diatribe was made as a direct personal insult by the same man who took serious personal offense to material in a story. I believe there is a big difference in the offense that should be taken from material in a fictional erotic story as opposed to a very nasty comment directed personally at people on a BB, with no specific reference whatsoever to what the people said.

If I recall correctly, you initiated the conversations with Deborah a couple weeks ago and in that post you called her a "crazy bitch." I'm not sure what your beef with Southernhelle is. I can only guess it is because she has not fallen madly in love with you. She must not be ready to be set free.

If you and a few others want to be a bully and pick fights, fine. But don't be such a crybaby when somebody hits back.

Hey XXplorher, kudos. You finally said something useful, to me anyway.

I can't thank you enough for helping me muddle through a dilemma. My girlfriend friend that's a girl)and I are working on a novel. One of the subplots involves supernatural creatures, specifically Nephilim a/k/a fallen angels, who immerge from the bottomless pit and fornicate with earthly women. We were really struggling with the dialogue here. Like, what would a supernatural creature say to a woman? We just could not imagine.

Duh! Click, click. Now I get it. You are God!!! And the meaning of the life of a woman here in this flesh world is to be set free by you.

Supernatural creatures would say things like "no one knows how to find the woman within better than me" and "no one knows how to hold that tender heart better than me."

We put it in the book. I hope this isn't some sort of copyright infringement. You don't copyright your every word, do you?

Having only been a part of this BB for a short time, I have yet to comprehend all the subtle undercurrents that are at work here. As the youngest son of T.S. Garp said, "Watch out for the UnderToad (undertow)."

I'm pretty much in agreement with everyone that the fighting should stop, NOT the debating, just the petty BS. But I do have a comment about the PMS issue, whenever XXP mentions it, he gets it from all sides, yet I have heard Deborah use that exact line on several of her posts. You know, if we are going to piss and moan about wanting to be treated exactly like the men, then we had better stop using every trick in the book to stop being treated exactly like the men. Ok, that's my opinion.

Slutgirl, I personally think you are RIGHT ON! It's the debating (friendly and respectful, please!) that makes this BB so attractive to me. We all should be so be confident and comfortable with our personal opinions that we shouldn't be all that bothered by different opinions. And that's all it is...DIFFERENT OPINIONS...NOT, personal attacks. That is what, to me anyway, makes life interesting and stimulating. I have always felt that a woman's outlook on an issue helps balance our perspective (and, yes, it works in reverse as well for you gals as well.) I will go so far that you guys and gals have made me feel a little better about my own outlook on sex and sexuality (how's THAT for showing your penis xxphorher?)

Excellent! I seem to have sparked some serious conversation in the bulletin board. I agree with SG above, and Double X on this one. It's perfectly fine to suffer the brunt of man-bashing until a guy speaks up-- and gets stomped on. I am the individual who made the comment about PMS. I am also that same individual who got offended by one of the posted stories. I sincerely love all that women have to offer--including their opinions, even when they are different from mine-- but I think that those who constantly and needlessly criticize, insult, and tear down folks are doing themselves a disservice (and I'm not singling out anyone- I knew women and men like that long before literotica). Men need women as much as women need men. I'm not afraid of a little conflict, but I also hope to see a little more encouragement on both sides. To all ladies who hated what I said, I say, "Thank you," for speaking up. To all gentlemen who hated some of what a few women have said, I say, "Thank you," for speaking up. That's why I picked the female menstrual cycle-- it is uniquely female, just as castration is uniquely male (to the best of my knowledge). The spirit of this post is the thoughts and ideas of the readers. I have seen a lot of negative comments directed my way, but I still say, "Keep it coming!" I really don't know if I need to apologize for dishing out a little of what has been served up to us-- I feel bad about the method I used, but I'm very happy with the result. Ever since that post, I have seen more newcomers adding their voice to the fray than ever. This is great, and I say (like before), "Keep it coming!"
