Sweet's Sitting Room

beauty-living-room-with-wallpaper-and-decoration-cream-color.jpg

Come on in and have a seat. Glass of wine? Fresh baked cookie? Help yourself.

Welcome to my own little comfy corner of the Lit world. I hope you enjoy your stay.

Wanders in from the cold, surprised to see the brightly lit room as empty as it is. It looks particularly new, clean, almost as though untouched by the outside world.

I stride slowly over to the sitting area, selecting an oversized chair arranged around a glass coffee table. On it are several loosely-bound manuscripts, possibly the writings of this place's owner. Set aside those is a plate of cookies. Looking around, curious as to the quiet, I pick up a stack of pages and a cookie, leaning back into the chair and thumbing through it quietly.

I think I might like it here. We'll see just how the owner is....

Stolen Moments

There is nothing quite so precious as those moments in time where all you can see is each other. Every touch and every kiss becomes magic. And you would be content to just stare into each other's eyes forever.

Welcome, Lustful_Intentions, to my humble abode. :) I'm happy to see you've made yourself at home. How are the cookies? They just came out of the oven before you arrived.

I hope that you will find my little hide away a comfortable place. I've tried to make it as inviting a place as possible.

I look up from the pages in my hand and smile.

Thank you, Sweet, and thank you for opening your home to a stranger like me. It's lovely, and very comfortable. The cookies are delicious-you've got quite a touch there, I must say. I was just enjoying some of your writings. I hope you don't mind me dropping in like this.

Feel free to drop by whenever you like, I love to play hostess.

I smile, motioning to the pages in my hand. Thank you Sweet, I'll do just that. Frankly, I'm just sitting here making my way through some of your work. You've got quite the voice in your work. Between these and the art you've posted, it's a very nice little place you've put together here.

Nods to the table, since this seems like a nice, open place, I've left a few of my writings on the table for anyone who might want to enjoy them.

I have to say, I really like your photos that you've posted!

Thank you! I love finding beautiful photos and sharing them with everyone.

Your couches look comfy and welcoming. Might I have a seat?

The more the merrier! Take a seat, put your feet up, and enjoy.

Thank you for that compliment. I try to make my writing stand out as much as possible. For me, writing in a SRP is more than just sex scenes, it's finding what makes the character work, what drives her or him to certain actions. Delving into the mind of my characters is something that I greatly enjoy doing.

I've read some of those pages you left on my table and I've quite enjoyed them. I look forward to reading more.

Hands

There is nothing more loving or intimate, for me, than holding my husband's hand. A gentle brush of fingers. Palms pressed tightly together. A squeeze that let's your love know you are there for them.

Lovely photos Sweet. I'm enjoying your little corner of the site very much.

And thank you for the compliments. I've just started to get back to writing fiction again, and finding my legs for both character development and dialogue again. Admittedly, it goes better in some places than others, and I have a tendency to be more blunt force with character dev. than I'd like, but, it's a lifelong learning process.

I am looking forward to sharing more with you, and seeing more of your work as well. Hope you are having a relaxing Sunday. :)

Character's I've Loved and Lost

We all have them: those characters that we've loved to play but, for some reason or another, they've faded into oblivion.

Here are just a few of the characters that I would love to play again at some point.

Grace Simpson - Last seen in "A Typical Day at the Office". Grace is a PI who is all about getting down and dirty in her work. Most of the time she's investigating cheating spouses. Because of her work she doesn't let people get close to her. But, underneath it all, she's a marshmallow.

Lola Connelly - Last seen in "Whatever Lola Wants". Coming from a long line of thieves, Lola has studied under the best of them. She's got a sharp tongue and an even sharper mind. Always on the hunt for the next big score, Lola is not easily distracted and once she sees something she wants she won't stop until it's hers.

Charlie Jones - Last seen in "Charlotte Rose". College co-ed by day. High class escort by night. Charlie is constantly struggling to balance her two hectic schedules. She's not happy in her career, but how else can she pay the bills? Living in constant fear that someone will discover her secret, Charlie doesn't have many friends or a boyfriend. Life is already complicated enough.

Sophia Duncan - Last seen in "The Witching Hour". Science and logic are the cornerstones of Sophia's beliefs. Magic, superstition, and things that go bump in the night have no place in her well-organized life. She believes in things that are tangible and backed up by solid evidence. Things are always straightforward and no nonsense for Sophia, and she has no idea how she would ever handle it if anything was ever out of order.

Admittedly, I always craft my characters for one specific story, and sort of leave them in that box. That may be a function of the fact that I probably don't develop them as deeply as you do yours. Reading some of these, I can understand the attachment you feel.

I especially like Grace and Charlie, and confess to thinking a bit about possible plot-lines and scenarios. :)

I have to agree with Lustful_Intentions. I would enjoy working with all of those characters, especially Grace and Charlie. The plot that could develop along with the characters could really be something amazing :)

If you ever want to bring them out again, I'd be more than happy to write with you.

Well hello there....how are you? Mind if I find a empty spot and relax?

That second to last image is just stunning. Thanks, as always for sharing, Sweet. :)

Hubby and I are coming up on our first anniversary! I've been truly blessed to have him in my life. Though our first year has been filled with many ups and down, we have made it through and I cannot wait to celebrate this milestone with him.

I also cannot wait to give him his present!

I don't know how it took me so long to discover this awesome trend, but I've recently come across the beauty of Boudoir photos. Usually these are given as gifts from a bride to her groom, but, since I only found this amazing concept a few months ago I'm getting them done for our anniversary. I just booked my shoot and cannot wait to go next week. The following images are ones that have given my ideas for my own session.

Would do this one with a Phillies cap since that is Hubby's favorite team.

Sweet, these are stunning photos, as always.

I can only imagine the thoughts running through the head of the gentleman in the second image-he has a wonderful POV, I think.

In the second to last one, I don't know how either of them concentrate on the task at hand, but it's a hell of a way to sell razors :)
