: Veronica ‘Roni’ MacGuffen
: She grew up decidedly middle class. Mommy was a lush and Daddy liked to alternate between using Roni as a punching bag and inappropriate hugging. Roni rebelled at a young age, she never fit in at school, never made friends, got into fights (when she wasn’t ditching class). Her criminal record started before the sixth grade, shoplifting was something Roni practiced religiously even to this day; couple that with her constant attempts to run away and her face was well known to the local police department.
It wasn’t until she was eighteen that Roni finally broke the vicious cycle her life had become. It hadn’t been intentional, all she wanted was for him to go away. Instead Daddy grew angry and decided she needed a busted lip. It was then that her power manifested itself. Roni grabbed his wrist and didn’t let go till Daddy was a shriveled, smoldering husk of a corpse. She was of course horrified by what she had done, in a blind fright she bolted though not before corroding a solid metal door and part of her bed.
Roni ran and never looked back.
She survived off what she could steal and sell and actually did rather well for herself for a time being. It only took one slip up for her to finally get caught again, this time in possession of a few stolen bottles of alcohol and several counterfeit I.D.’s. But it wasn’t the local police that Roni had to worry about. She had drawn the attention of the Organization and was made an offer she couldn’t refuse.

: Corrosion. She can touch and corrode almost anything, given enough time. Metal rusts, wood rots, water dries up, and even flesh shrivels and decays under her touch. It takes time to thoroughly corrode an object, a mere touch for something like paper or a thin piece of wood, to minutes for metal and other dense objects.
: Roni is at heart a compulsive liar. It is an instinctive reflex by now, she makes up lies on the whim for no reason at all, only to cover up those lies with more lies once they are uncovered. She has an awkward way about her, as if she’s afraid of speak at length for some unknown reason. She’s more apt to put her foot in her mouth when trying to make conversation. Filled with self doubt, Roni doesn’t make friends easily and generally awkward around ‘normal’ social situations. With such an attitude, she has a pessimistic, self destructive view of her own life, believing that everything she comes into contact with will eventually break.
“Her ability is impressive. Given time and proper training she might become a suitable agent.”
“She’s like a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. I’m not sure what she is more scared of, herself or the rest of the world.”
