Advice from a Chinese (I think) doctor:

Q: Doctor, I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life. Is this true?
A: Heart only good for so many beats, and that's it... Don't waste on exercise. Everything wear out eventually. Speed up heart not make live longer; that like say you can extend life of car by driving faster. Want live longer? Take nap.

Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables?
A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does cow eat? Hay and corn. What are these? Vegetables. So, steak nothing more than efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to system. Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef also good source of field grass (green leafy vegetable). And pork chop give 100% recommended daily allowance of vegetable products.

Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake?
A: No, not at all. Wine made from fruit. Brandy is distilled wine. That means they take water out of fruity bit; get even more goodness that way. Beer also made out of grain. Bottoms up!

Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio?
A: If you have body and you have fat, ratio is one to one. If you have two bodies, ratio is two to one, etc.

Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program?
A: Cannot think of single one, sorry. My philosophy: No Pain...GOOD!

Q: Aren't fried foods bad for you?
A: YOU NOT LISTEN!!! .... Foods fried in vegetable oil. How getting more vegetables bad for you?

Q: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the middle?
A: Definitely not! When you exercise muscle, it get bigger. You should only do sit-ups if want bigger stomach.

Q: Is chocolate bad for me?
A: You crazy? HELLO ... Cocoa bean! Vegetable!!! Cocoa bean best feel-good food around!

Q: Is swimming good for your figure?
A: If swimming good for figure, explain whale.

Q: Is getting in-shape important for my lifestyle?
A: Hey! 'Round' is shape!

Well, I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about food and diets.

AND.....

For those of you who watch what you eat, here's the final word on nutrition and health. It's a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting nutritional studies:

1. The Japanese eat very little fat...
And suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat...
And suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

3. The Chinese drink very little red wine...
And suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

4. The Italians drink a lot of red wine...
And suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

5. The Germans drink a lot of beers and eat lots of sausages and fats...
And suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

CONCLUSION.....

Eat and drink what you like.

Speaking English is apparently what kills you.

When typing up a sex resume as a joke for your girlfriend, be sure to give it a distinct file name so you remember which resume you’re sending to a potential employer.

LOL!

Maybe I should try that. I might have better luck getting a desk job if I add "loves to give head" under "filing and clerical duities"

This is a clip from Louis CK's new show. Just something I saw on the internet.

There are funny parts and serious ones, and, overall, I'm impressed at how the subject is handled, especially given that it is a show on FX. It's not overly smarmy, the discomfort is shown as well the bigotry, and it is given an honest treatment.

I've been party to conversations like this myself.

Hey - I liked Michigan when I lived there! Two seasons - 'hotter than hel'l, with a two week period where everything dies, then 'where the fuck does all the snow come from', followed by two weeks where everything melts. Rinse, repeat.

South Dakota seasons: Almost Winter, Winter, Still Winter, Road Construction. Rinse and repeat.

Ripster & B gave me a “gardening kit” for my birthday and L gave me tennis skirt. Very cool, I wasn’t expecting anything. A great day, with the exception of my stupid tooth that won’t stop throbbing and hurting.

Ewwwwwwwww.

On the topic of weather, the heat index was 110 here today. And it's supposed to be hotter tomorrow, with more humidity. No wonder I feel like I can't drink enough water.

F doing his best to keep me motivated toward packing and preparing for my mothers funeral, keep calm as possible under the circumstances of my sisters' uncalled for behaviour, by giving me lots of hugs and telling me with a cheeky grin that I should feel sorry for them because naturally they are jealous of me given I have a brain which I use; a sexy Latin Master for a husband who loves me more each day, and is 9 years younger than me; and that he is showing me the world and a great life; while all they have are husbands they complain about continually, adult children, their wives and grandchildren who spend as little time with them as possible, sometimes not even talking to them; and bitching about their life and work. He might have a point.:D

What made me smile today?

Recently, a old vanilla boyfriend I have not seen for over twenty years, got back in touch via my sister. I am meeting him on Sunday.

Not sure how it will be, not sure if its going to be a date, a meeting, or a 'hello, how are you? is that the time? I must dash' kind of thing.

I am three stone heavier (about 50lbs) and I have no idea what to wear:rolleyes:

But everytime I think of how it will be to see someone from a time when we were both adventerous in our thinking. and innocent in our words and actions, I smile :)
