"Oh I always knew you would get married, Eden, just, well, I never would have dreamed it would have been to me. I'm still wondering if I'm dreaming, so you're not alone there, my dear."
Otto couldn't help but chuckle. "Bidets are just as much for women as men, my love." He pondered for a moment. "Huh, an indoor swimming pool would be nice..." He replied with a teasing grin, stealing her hand to his lips to give it a kiss before they got out and he led the way up to an open ramp to a cruise ship. He was being blythely bold and perhaps very presumptuous to think he could get the captain of the ship to marry them, but he pushed on anyway.
He knocked at the pilot house door and got the attention of the man within and waved him over. "Pardon me, sir, but would you be the captain of this ship?" He asked politely through the glass window. The man looked at him with mild surprise and curiosity. "Yes, I am, but no one is supposed to be aboard just yet... What are you doing here, sir?" The captain asked, looking past Otto to see Eden. He gave her a pleasant smile before returning his attention to Otto.
"Yes, yes, I realize this is very peculiar, captain, but the lady and I, we're hopeless romantics, and, well, we were wondering if we might put upon you for a few moments, to have you marry us?" The captain seems a little dumbfounded and blinked a few times before replying, scratching his head. "Are you coming aboard for the cruise? You're not supposed to be aboard..."
"Well... No... I..." Otto was quickly losing his resolve, feeling very foolish. He could already see the wheels in the Captain's head turning: Older man, younger woman, come to a place they obviously didn't belong, without even being future passengers on board his ship. It looked bad, very bad. Otto did the only thing he thought would show any semblance of wisdom in the face of having done such a questionable move as bringing Eden aboard a ship they didn't have tickets for and asking such an intimate favor of its Captain. He stepped back from the door and allowed the Captain to proceed with questioning Eden.
"Is everything alright, miss? Do you know this man?" There was concern in the captains voice. It was killing Otto to not even be able to look at her in support, for fear the Captain would construe it as a form of control over her.
