He smiled at Maggie as she reached out and took his hand. He let her lead him into the room as they weaved between all the tables looking for the prime spot for him to sit so he could clearly see her and the stage.
"Thank you for the compliment Maggie. I feel I look the same as I do every day but you look incredible tonight if you don't mind me saying so. Whoever you manage to land on your arm looking like that will sure be a lucky guy."
They finally found a table perfect for him and he finally dropped her hand and walked around the table to take his seat. "I'm sure this evening will not only be different but wonderful as well. I have actually been looking forward to it."
He watched her as she tried to calm herself down before taking the stage. "You won't need luck Maggie. You've got the gift. Just use it. And I will be right here cheering you on."
