True. And the GB opened my eyes a lot, because before joining I had a different view of the state of world politics.
But I can't help noticing that what you're describing -in a v. accurate manner- is one of the criterias for what constitutes a totallitarian regime.
We already know that we're living in an oligarchy, but we sometimes fail to notice that we're living in a progressively more closed society. Really dystopian stuff going on.

Yes and I keep pointing that out, but the Left sees only the right as a threat to liberty. In the past, their ideas lead to totalitarians and war and because it was such a disaster, that wasn't Socialism, that was a right-wing phenomenon. If you are conservative or Libertarian, there in no more hostile environment that you can be subjected to than the campus of a Liberal Arts university.
