Neither a fan nor serious scholar... yet
I find this thread most interesting, and I'm drawn to it like a rubber-necker passing a train wreck. The phenomenon known as SCOURIES has the ability to inflame, incite, exhilarate and excite, and seems to do so almost effortlessly. I am so innocent and new here - much like a virgin lost in the woods - and so I found myself overwhelmed upon finding this thread on one of my earliest wanderings through the AH.
I am not an anthropologist, but I think this thread would be a worthy study for any aspiring student of humanity. Is SCOURIES really the Pied Piper of Porn? An incredibly gifted writer with magical powers or merely a charlatan who is weaving this web of intrigue as part of some vague plan to drive the world mad? Do any of these other people posting really exist, or are all of the entries being made by the same person?
That is the purpose of my post here, because although I may not know much, I do know that I am not SCOURIES, nor am I affiliated with him in any way. I have never met or boffed Gabby either, although she sounds fascinating in her own way as well. I merely have a thirst for knowledge, so I warily dip my little toe in the gurgling abyss known as SCOURIES WORLD, knowing full well that I may someday regret it.
I would also like to know - maybe Gabby can help me here - whether there are any particular SCOURIES stories one could read to gain even greater insight. I have tried to read a couple of them, but always get hung up on the inevitable "Daddy! Your cock is so big!" sentence, which creates within me an unshakable urge to relieve myself. I leave it to the reader to decipher the meaning of that.

Of course it's circular, but I've already said why I keep coming back. He isn't going away, no matter if everyone ignores him. That's been tried. Somebody is always going to respond, so may as well kick the delusional little numbskull around for the entertainment value.
There's a little troll in everyone, and directing it at career trolls is a positive outlet of that negative energy
It also ensures that nobody gets fooled into believing he actually gets paid royalties or he's some important part of the site that has any real relevance

I enjoy a little circular--especially when it's off the wall like this and isn't politically based. If Scouries didn't alread exist, the forum would create one.

I don't know about that-- the Scouries of the world tend to present themselves to any forum lacking one. This forum goes for very long periods of time without any trolling at all, and the users here tend to self-select as the type that prefer it that way.
For most of the "regulars", he doesn't exist at all, thanks to the ignore option. Nor does Ami, JBJ, or any other poster who has a similarly abusive online personality.

Of course there's "Clubsim!" Every human venue has clubism. You deal with it or you don't, but you can't possibly be surprised by it. You wouldn't walk into any old neighborhood bar and arrogantly assume the right to sit in at every table. You'd get to know the regulars first. You'd assess them-- let them assess you. You'd get a feeling for who's gong to be compatible, who isn't. You wouldn't start off with a declamation of your superior credentials knowing that in a social situation, they would be mostly meaningless.

Honestly, it always amazes me. I've fucked up myself, we all have. I've been on the internet since 98, and I've put myself on the wrong side of "the club"-- more than once.
This forum does very well without trolls. JBJ said that he came here "because you fools needed to be shaken up" -- but he gets very little response. A lot of people have Jenny Jackson on ignore, too,-- and she's definitely a reg. If this were an actual bar, they simply would be sitting on the other side of the room from the more abrasive types.

I am too undesirable to be a minion. Like all the other games of life, I have either proven myself too incompetent, or arrived too late to be chosen by either team. Even flies have shown themselves to be ambivalent to my presence.
Trust me. I am not like SCOURIES or his minions. I don't even know what they are, or how one becomes qualified. I may don't even be just like ewe after all. I just stopped by for a chuckle or two, and have already overdosed in the few hours I have spent here.
