“She was the best cook in all of Wales.” Elise said with a proud smile as she remembered her mother-in-law with a fond look in her eyes. “You would have loved her, Durban. She was a little spitfire.”
How had this large man enchanted her mother so in such a short amount of time, Marri asked herself as she quickly finished her meal and set about cleaning her dishes so she could get to market in time to make the evening meal.
