The Isolated Political Blurt Thread

Despite the falling out, the Pentagon said on Monday that Mattis authorized Trump’s withdrawal of U.S forces from Syria, one of the decisions that helped trigger his resignation

The State Department was not immediately available for comment due to the partial U.S. government shutdown.

Meanwhile, rumors of blackmail used against Donald Trump.

Visit to Iraq and Germany. Trump and Malevolent Melania seem to be in pain, as they fake smiles.

The body language experts will have a field day.

Nothing on their faces is on the checklist.

Clenched teeth, tense faces, nothing near the expression of happiness, joy, or pleasure.

Melania is not even present in the room. Blank eyes of a doll or mannequin.Trump is totally focused on himself.

(The expression in Trump's eyes- "Am I doing this (smile) right ?
"Does this look creepy and un-natural ?"
"Ow, this hurts."
"I'll never make it, to the count of ten."
"Hurry up and take the pictures.")

Too much botox ?

Maybe, he was worrying about his hair.

They found a clone twin of the Racist that killed Heather Heyer at the Charlottesville tragedy. Widely distributed photo of the clone and Trump.

How Could The Times Not Realize That It Is A Laughingstock?
https://www.manhattancontrarian.com/blog/2018-12-29-3eg3ztznm4yth3n3bv40biumzfqe2c

by Francis Menton ("Manhattan Contrarian")

"...But hadn’t Pravda [i.e., the N.Y. Times] assured us that the rest of the world would never be tricked into following Trump’s lead, but rather was going to put this retrograde idiot in his place? Perhaps you can recall a smug Pravda on March 29, 2017, shortly after Trump took office, awarding the coveted mantle of “climate leadership” to the genius totalitarians in China. From that piece:

“They’ve set the direction they intend to go in the next five years,” Barbara Finamore, a senior lawyer and Asia director at the Natural Resources Defense Council, based in New York, said of China. “It’s clear they intend to double down on bringing down their reliance on coal and increasing their use of renewable energy.”

“China wants to take over the role of the U.S. as a climate leader, and they’ve baked it into their five-year plans,” she added, referring to the economic development blueprints drawn up by the Chinese government. . . . Since Mr. Trump’s election in November, senior Chinese officials and leaders have been taking the high ground on the issue by urging all countries, including the United States, to abide by their climate commitments.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Actually what China was doing was playing the NRDC and the New York Times for the dupes they are. (The Manhattan Contrarian take on this situation — on June 8, 2017 — was “Believe Me, You Don’t Have To Worry About China Seizing ‘Climate Leadership.’”) After mouthing the right platitudes to dupe these credulous fools, China went right ahead and resumed or kept building as much new coal-fired electricity generation capacity as the U.S. has in total, to go with its existing coal-fired capacity, which is about 3 times what the U.S. has. The BBC had the story on September 26, 2018:

Building work has restarted at hundreds of Chinese coal-fired power stations, according to an analysis of satellite imagery. The research, carried out by green campaigners CoalSwarm, suggests that 259 gigawatts of new capacity are under development in China. The authors say this is the same capacity to produce electricity as the entire US coal fleet"...

It's no particular surprise to see that the editorial board of the New York Times is utterly detached from reality.

The only thing that's surprising is that there are any educated persons who are unaware of the fact.

Uh huh. Francis Menton is bitter that the NYT didn't hire him, so he tries to debunk them any way he can, honestly or not.

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/11/24/climate/coal-global-warming.html
Spurred by public outcry over air pollution, China is now also the world leader in solar and wind power installation, and its central government has tried to slow down coal plant construction. But an analysis by Coal Swarm, a U.S.-based team of researchers that advocates for coal alternatives, concluded that new plants continue to be built, and other proposed projects have simply been delayed rather than stopped.

If Trump now reopens Govt, he visibly surrenders to Pelosi. If Trump keeps Govt closed, he bleeds support faster. Workers miss next paycheck, air travel delays, govt services fail, and economy stalls. Trump built the trap and walked into it. Pelosi just locked it behind him.

GLAAD calling for the White House to release official notes

Why does the GOP support tRump ?

tRump is the key to getting what they want.

How will bi-curious and bisexual Republicans carry out their double lives, if men and women insist on living their true lives ? LGBT living their true lives in the public eye, cannot be intimidated or blackmailed into silence. There is great danger for a gay Republican that uses a wife and children as a beard to hide what they truly are.

Hypocrisy cannot flourish, if people are digging up secrets.

Hypocrisy is the glue that holds the Republican party together.

Allowing LGBT protections under the law, is a threat to the Republican party and lifestyle. Republicans can see that that there is an alternative to living in the closet. There is a LGBT community, and it offers alternative support.

FFS, recemtly one of the most infamous of Gay Conversion to Straight operators came out as gay!

Recently, tRump voiced his support for Anti-Choice. Christians had their march in DC. tRump did not ignore the Anti-LGBT. He invited them to the White House for a meeting. tRrump met with a delegation of hard-right activists led by Ginni Thomas, the wife of Justice Clarence

Trump listened “quietly” while Thomas and a group of ultra-conservative activists criticized transgender people, women in the military and Republican leadership last week, according to the paper. The group convened for about an hour in the Roosevelt Room, where Trump sat “saying little but appearing taken aback,” the Times reported citing three unnamed sources familiar with the matter.

GLAAD is now calling for the White House to release official notes from the meeting.

https://www.advocate.com/politics/2...t-ginni-thomass-meeting-trump-raises-concerns

So, during the shutdown, the Tangelo-Tinted Taint Tumor apparently had a flock of ultra-super-mega-far-right maniacs, including Ginni Thomas, Frank Gaffney and other similarly batpoo-encrusted loons, over to the White House for a pleasant little rant about gay/transgender rights and how there are way too many of them, and even to rail against women serving in the military. He won't listen to generals or scientists or our oldest, most trusted, allies, but the Cuckoo Klux Klan gets an audience. Cool.

nternet shreds Mitch McConnell after he cries ‘power grab’ over Dems effort to make Election Day a holiday

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is strongly opposed to efforts to make Election Day a national holiday.

On the Senate floor today, he derided a proposal to do that as a “power grab” by Democrats who want to win elections by having more people vote in them.

"McConnell is surely correct in that, if everyone who has the right to vote faced no impediment to exercising that right, Republicans would never win"

And that would be bad?

Civil Forfeiture: South Carolina Not *Quite* Done Stealing From Black People

The Greenville News and Anderson Independent Mail teamed up to break a story this week about organized crime in South Carolina. Unfortunately, the "gangsters" are members of law enforcement. This shocking expose, an impressive feat of local reporting, starts off horribly and only gets worse from there.

When a man barged into Isiah Kinloch's apartment and broke a bottle over his head, the North Charleston resident called 911. After cops arrived on that day in 2015, they searched the injured man's home and found an ounce of marijuana.

So they took $1,800 in cash from his apartment and kept it.

There are multiple accounts of the police treating citizens, primarily African Americans, like living ATMs. Spartanburg County deputies stopped an Atlanta businessman for speeding on Interstate 85. He wasn't charged, but the deputies found $29,000 in his car and took it with them. This was literal highway robbery.

This is one reason I never leave Califorication!

The laugh’s on us: How the Trump-radical Republican tax cut broke the economy

Donald Trump’s tax cut for the rich and the corporations they control is turning out to be a bust for the American economy.

It will, however, burden taxpayers with at least $1.5 trillion more federal debt because, instead of boosting tax revenues through increased economic activity as promised, it has caused a sharp drop in revenue.

Had Congress held public hearings the tax problems created for American expatriate professionals and business owner differences in the tax rules of other countries could have been spotted and then prevented or minimized.

Now that he Democrats control the House, which our Constitution requires be the origination point for all tax laws, hearings could be held to ameliorate or even eliminate these problems.

Had Congress held public hearings on the bill, the pitch forks would have come out!

EXCLUSIVE from @alexi and @jonathanvswan:

A White House source has leaked nearly every day of Trump's private schedule for the past three months — and he's spent around 60% of that time in "Executive Time."

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, missing from press conferences for over a month...

Where was she ?

She broke her silence, to say something that caused most to cringe.

The Wall battle was not won.

Support crumbles, because tRump lost.

Huckabee Sanders outreach, to prop up the other support base.

Acivist Mommy, Elizabeth Johnston spread an anti-abortion meme

In an interview with CBN’s (Christian Broadcasting Network) David Brody and Jennifer Wishon, Sanders said God “wanted Donald Trump to become president.”

Next up, more denials

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said in an on-stage interview that we needed to act on climate change before it was too late. She noted that the “world is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change,” referencing the tipping point after which scientists say it’ll be too late to address greenhouse gas emissions.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the press secretary, who dismissed Ocasio-Cortez’s statement with a reference to God during an interview with Sean Hannity.
