The local olives in Andalucia.... OMG!!! (makes my mouth water just to think about them!)

LOL, F gets quite particular about his olive oil and very upset in supermarkets which do not stock Olive Oil from Spain...I have learned to buy well.

Such a great day so far!

1. Sleeping late, cuddling in bed, awesome yoghurt and strawberry breakfast.
2. Going to the market to buy potatoes and carrots, a cup of tea in a little cafe, an old couple coming to our table and telling about their grandkids and the city when they first moved here.
3. Hitting book stores, extra 40% off of all items already on sale.
4. Friday's free entrance to all museums, litographies and etchings.
5. Museum cafe, really good tea, excellent service and warm atmosphere.

Still to come:

6. Chicken salad and home baked bread.
7. Free tickets to two concerts this evening.

Brilliant day! I want!

Potentially amazing news.

Did a leprechaun fly up my nose when I was distracted? Or am I about to be pounded by an asteroid to, you know, even things out? 'Cause I am on a roll that won't stop playing.

:)

*is curious*

I know that feeling so well. "Things are going great! Oh no, I'm about to get hit by a bus, aren't I?"

Crossing a guy on the sidewalk that looked like he'd time warped straight from a '70s porn flick. Brocade jacket, moustache, shoulder length hair and complete with gold chain and chest hair. I saw a few other people turn round grinning too after he walked past.

I have to hand it to him. The guy had self-confidence in spades. No style, but plenty of self-confidence. :D:D

A friend posted this saying it reminded him of me "minus a few choice words" lol

Personally, I'm sick of the "flash mob" trend. It was cool the first 2 times (probably improv everywhere) but I'm so over it. Maybe I'm the only one but yuck.

I was overdue for a new suitcase so I finally broke down and headed to the store today to get one. I walked right into the store and then found the perfect one for 80% off its original price and then had NO one in line to check out so as a bonus I was in and out of the store in under 5 mins too. Score! :D

Suck it, superstitious people*!

By the hammer of Thor...She is fabby! hehe!

Good point! Maybe I should send my thanks out to all of the people that are stuck under ladders, in the ER recovering from broken mirrors, or being attacked by black cats or something... whew. Thanks guys!

*wanders off to go knock on wood.

So over the past couple of days we've discovered that Cricket, the kitten who was dog-attacked last Saturday, is apparently deaf, or very hard of hearing. We don't know if it was a pre-existing condition (in which case Obamacare might help? :D ) or if it was caused by the dog chomping on him. Doesn't slow him down a bit, though.

This evening, he discovered that Bazinga, the older foster we currently have (the one with the birth-dislocated foreleg), is really not all that much bigger than he is (about 8 weeks to 4 weeks), *also* likes to play, and is willing to play with him. Only one little issue: Since Cricket can't hear Bazinga growl when he gets a little too rough or too persistent, he just grabs hold and hangs on until Bazinga cuffs him three or four times, or nips back hard. Then he gets all confused and backs off. Ten seconds later, he's back wanting to play. Bazinga seems to have short-term memory issues... he's willing. Kittens are fun.

Love kittens, they are fun and nothing but. I have adopted a few from shelters over the years and they all love to play with each other. Yours are making their paths, I am glad you have them and they you ;) mine are all older now but still break out in some kittenish escapades once in awhile.

Hearing L'Arabesque by Johann Burgmüller ... Haven't played it on my piano in a long time...dusting off the keys and going to try to find my Mojo again tomorrow lol love that song. Of all the songs I have learned/tried to play I have always enjoyed this one. Any other ivory ticklers on lit? Favorite songs that make you smile?

Kittens are fun.

The last summer I spent with my dad, they had two kittens, a 3 month old (Pinto) and a six month old (Raindance). I'm afraid to sleep with my door closed, so I always left it open, but I figured out pretty quick to shut it as soon as the sun started coming up, cause that's when Pinto and Raindance would play, usually in my room. One time, even half asleep, I had to laugh, cause I heard Raindance scream, and when I looked he and Pinto were in a 69 position, and Pinto had literally BIT Raindances balls.

So we got free tickets to two concerts yesterday.

The first was a British group called The New Rope String Band. They combined humor with traditional folk music from the UK. I didn't really expect much, but they were brilliant. :)

The second was Alamaailman vasarat, which is kinda hard to describe. Psychedelic heavy punk kletzmer jazz on two cellos, drums, keyboard/melodica and a bunch of brass instruments is the closest description I can come up with. Strange, catchy.

Yesterday was just so incredibly perfect that I really can't remember the last time I've had such a nice day!

LOL, they certainly are.:) I am on a mission to make sure (more than ever) that our rescue cats live a very long and happy life as F has said after thay are gone, we will not have any more cats. After never living without a cat my whole life, except for the short period of time after moving here, the thought of no cats in the house horrifies and depresses me no end.

The 'truth' deleted from internet in China
"Truth" appears to have vanished from the Chinese internet, after micro-bloggers discovered the word had been blocked on the country's leading social-media website.

Online messages began circulating earlier this week claiming that the Chinese characters for "the truth" could not be searched for on the Twitter-like micro-blog, Sina Weibo, which boasts nearly 300 million registered users.

Attempts to search Weibo for "the truth" on Thursday turned up the message: "According to relevant laws, regulations and policies, search results for 'the truth' cannot be displayed."

As usual, more in the original story, linked through the headline above.
