It is cool. I am an aviation buff coming from a country that invented one of the most important planes in modern history - and then scrapped it.

Back later on today, nap needed.

For those not in the know, the plane was the Avro Arrow and it is one of Canada's national disgraces.

Right now, the snow's picking up to maybe a flurry. I have a dusting, a dusting, on the ground. Progeny and I walked to and from the market to pick up items for dinner. He also picked up Old Fashioned Mt Dew.

It was a very pretty sunny day here. :D

My daughter has a friend attending Baker's college in Michigan and earlier she posted that they had 20" of snow so far.

The son tried to put in contacts at the eye doc's today and gave up, which I don't blame him for, some folks aren't meant to poke themselves in the eye. His new glasses will be available in about a week, he's looking forward to them. He talked me out of taking him to the hair cuttin' place, and he talked me into buying an 8 pc bucket of KFC for his and my lunch. I had 2 pieces, he ate 6 - 3 on the way to the doc's, 3 after the visit.

Tonight there is a short play at the school, daughter #2 is Isis the Rainbow Goddess ( I believe that is name ). She's thrilled about the amount of glitter she gets to wear and how curly her hair gets to be. She's only got a few lines, but I think the make-up and hair-do make up for it.

A quick order of pizza is ordered for supper (before the play), for those that didn't eat 6 pieces of chicken.

No writing at all - obviously - was done today. Tomorrow --- I get to work on my taxes - w00t!!!

Wow! Sounds like you had a day! Yumm KFC. I think we might be having that tonight.

Yeah I got like 6 inches. I hope the East coast doesn't get as slammed as they say they should be.

Friday's usually are, but I rarely ever get to spend them with the son. It was nice and so buying all that chicken for him was worth it and I knew he could eat it. He originally wanted me to buy the 16 pc FAMILY MEAL. I explained that meant 2 large sides and 8 biscuits. Then he said, what about the 12. Same issues. Finally I agreed to the 8 pc. chicken - chicken only. By the time he was done a carcass was left behind.

Off to grab the pizza and then off to the play.

 Be safe and play nice with each other. ;)

Well that's good if you expect a return from the IRS - makes the effort worth it. ;)

I finally have a few hours free this afternoon and I thought I might sub a Valentine's Day story. But I see it's closed and I'm too late. :(
Oh well. Maybe a general story since I haven't actually done anything yet this year.

Tylenol Cold thou art my friend.

Have fun with the taxes Red, don't have all the paperwork for mine just yet but plugged in what I have tonight just to get it started.

We have one Popeyes in this area so far. They took over an old Tim Hortons (they moved across the street)

We got over a foot of snow since I was here last night.

I think my lesson learned for this winter is to have more firewood cut and set aside for next winter and to start socking money away for a metal roof.

We received only 7-8 inches of snow, and it was the light, fluffy kind, so shoveling wasn't too difficult. I had help, three of us finished it in less than an hour, AND I took a couple of breaks, okay so one was to chug half a bottle of diet Dr Pepper, the other to stretch out the back.

I did taxes this week, and patiently waiting for the returns. We're receiving enough back to send the kid back to college and have some left over for a vacation.

Nice. You could come to Oz for your vacation. No snow.

Hope everyone else in the US is doing OK in the big white.

I'd love to visit Australia, but I don't like Foster's or seafood. Plus, the wife couldn't handle a 22 hour flight. She could do the 5 hours from upstate NY to Las Vegas, and that's it.

No one drinks Fosters in Australia. We export just about all of it. Seriously.

Oh, well. Vegas is in the desert. Much of our outback is pretty dry and desolate too. Just without the casinos. :D

Five words make me love Vegas:

All you can eat buffets!

LOL
