Breathe!

A Thousand Lies

A Thousand Lies

There she stood
On the waters bed
This epitome of distress
Holding the crystallized glass
Of her shattered soul

The margaritas kiss
Lined her lips
With a little salt and lime
In the last and dying moments
Of her now forsaken will
As she stands alone
Searching for that inner peace
Reflecting on the blue sheen
Of the oceans deep

Her life splayed across the constant waves
Surging in that final ecstasy
Making love to the mind
As it roars against that midnight sky
Merely marking its terrain
To ease the pain

Its wet earthly scent spews forth
Wielding with its caress
On the sand and rocky shores
As it leaves each strand of grass
Weeping for more
With each parting pass

As the ocean waves reach beyond
Truth and time
With the power to heal and bind
Erasing the shame of life
And a thousand lies

Darkness in our Minds

Darkness in our Minds

There comes a time
When you realize
Your life has been nothing more
Than a complacent wall of lies

When depression sits
As the ruler of your mind
The darkness does implore
With the pains in life
We all must endure

Your life
Your career
The choices you made
From one day to the next
All the things you did
And didn’t do
With all the things you could never do
Settled around the belief
While accepting the scorn
That you could never be
Anything more

You no longer sleep
You no longer care to breath
Night and day all become the same
As the will to live
Just seems to slip away

You lie there
Like a wounded child
In your empty bed
While your heart bleeds
To the tears you shed

So many things
You wish to say
To scream and shout
And make it all go away
But the truth remains
Engraved
On your hated flesh
To stay

But there comes a time
In all our lives
When we must face
Those demons in our mind
To forgive and forget
All that was done
And simply walk away
From those that would bring
And forever keep
Such darkness in our minds

Forever Yours

Forever Yours

I lay in my bed
Listening to the pittar patter of rain drops
Above my head
And I wonder if you hear them to
As I drift off to dreams of you

Where there I stand
In a barren white room
All but the raised over sized bed
Placed center stage against the left wall
With a sliding glass door on the back side
The ornate center piece leading to the balcony
And the grand lake view

I slide open the sheen glass door
Letting the nights gentle breeze in
As it flaps through the white veiled drapes
And caresses against my skin

I step out on that wooden balcony
In that calm serine piece of mind
Letting the night rains and gentle dew
Wrap my alabaster flesh with its softened kiss
Through my white gossamer forming gown

You approach from behind
Quiet as a whisper through time
And slowly slide your arms around my waist
So strong
Such comfort in the touch
As you hold me so sincere
And are hearts fly as one
To dance amongst the night stars
And warming rains

And I close my eyes
Falling into the sincerity of your arms
To feel for once
The truth and security of love
And in my dream conveyed
I pray to never wake
As I am forever yours

Once Played

Once Played

Nectars dreams
At daylights break
Sipping sweet cherried chardonnay
As the burning fires play

The simple crackle
From the embers in its hearth
Exploring across the molten branches of pine
Dancing with that golden red glow
Captivating your eyes
While erasing your mind

Its arms reach
Beyond the chimney sweep
With its warmth to rise
Thick as molasses in the midst of a mid summers day
Burning through your deep scarlet lingerie
As it comes to rest
On the innocence of flesh

It tames without mercy
All in its touch
So fierce the flame
As it slowly burns away

And in that last final breath of cindered pine
All that’s left to find
Is the cold lifeless ash
Where passions once played

Acceptance and Love

Acceptance and Love

Her wants and dreams
Held in despise
Within the hate of her love
Her flesh and mind

She feels only the pain
Of what her solitude gives
There is no existence
To the heart within

Trapped behind a veil
That has no body or grace
Nailed with perfection
As it waits
Forever
It waits

Surging with emotions
That rage like a devils plague
That lay in wait
Reaching beyond the darkness
To find nothing
In the sheer emptiness of her existence

Entombed with her faith
The disgrace of her heart
Dying to believe
Dying to feel
The best of both worlds
With acceptance and love

Desperate Whore

Desperate Whore

Truth be known
That you will always be alone
When you cower in the corner
Hiding from your miserable life
All that your heart has denied

Words read across the ivory screen
They scream of need
And your body begs
Please

“Cum little whore
Now crawl and beg
My whoring fuck meat
You answer to me”

How the body cries
Dripping like the ocean
That never dries
Merely begging to be
A nasty fuck to please
With amusements of flesh and mind

The truth of want
That need that can’t be denied
Running through your body
Alive and dying
As molten fire to your life

Torn by that craven child
Trapped inside
Forever imprisoned and ruling supreme
Giving the truth to love
That will never be
For a desperate whore like me

I like an "aha" in a poem, Sin. In that one concluding line of the poem, you turned it upside down by changing it from a "he/she" to an "I" narrative. That's the kind of thing that stays with reader. Nicely done.

That Lovers Plea

That Lovers Plea

Gentle grace given
With compliments and thanks

A simple touch
As hand to shoulder placed
“Good job, well done
You’re the best”

As the rest is written
From the darkness of a blinded life
When the innocence of niceties
Waken the sleeping beast

Fear is met with that sudden pause
As your soul screams
To the shame of your craven flesh
Untouched for a decade since
And so my longing went

The unspeakable tale
And how my shame is read
From the lips of my forgotten sins
As my yearning tears began again

Sad is the truth of flesh and mind
That drives like daggers on broken steel
And you find those wounded scars
Still answer to the necessity
Of that lovers plea

Holds Only Fear

Holds Only Fear

My soul drips
From the blood of lies
I beg of you
Be the power to bind

Cross these coarse roads
Lined and planted
With the bloodied crucifixes
Leading to my wounded soul
And implant your own

Invigorate the darkness
Trapped inside my demons dream
For there is no Christ
Born of my cross
To ease my misery

There is no mercy seen
Through the eyes of my despair
That can shield this wounded flesh
Sheathed behind my salted tears

Even laced with grace
The heart only wishes to die
To hide that bitter sweet kiss
That plagues my forlorn mind
With forbidden desire

It is the devils reign
Bleeding the sins of my solitude
The collared chains of redemption
In the loyalty of love and life
Bound in my hollowed heart
That holds only fear

Remember When

Remember When

Remember when
You were young and naïve
Walking your forest of trees

Alone in your mental maze
Your soul embraced
All that nature gave to grace

You sat amongst the branches
Of the whispering pines
Listened to the winds gentle rhymes
While it caressed your flesh
With scents of fresh cedar and pine

When you ventured forth
Further along that hidden path
Lost within its earthly grasp

The humbling peace of mind
As you stood bellow the branches
Of the weeping willow tree
That held no tears to find

You danced with those falling leaves
One in turn
With faith to believe
Raining down
Like a mist of dreams

When there was peace
And innocence of the mind
When you were alive
And free
And the world was yours
To be

Heavens Front Door

Heavens Front Door

Vague are the memories
Of a childhood long since past

I was but eight
When they came into my life
And it is their blood
That courses through my veins
But we always lived
A world away

It has been two decades
Since my grandmother passed
Now my grandfather to
Has left his mortal grace

I remember a man
In the mist of my memories
He was silent and strong
And spoke with his hands

He built a railroad world
Set the tracks and trains
And let the wheels just turn by
Over the rolling hills he built with style

His little country town
Placed piece by piece
As he built
His paradise of dreams

The rolling hills
The wooden structures
A little country town
With the lights and street signs
As the toy trains circled round
Honking as they drove by

In his created world
He built what most could only dream
Within a paradise of trees

Now a woman grown
I have become
As I face again
That parting pain
As this day
His heart finally gave way

Ninety years he gave
To life
To love
May he find
That eternal peace
With his loving wife
At heavens front door

Life is Gone

Life is Gone

Confusion in the mind
Built and breed
By the insubordination of time

The hands of the clock
Click and click
Tick
Tick
Minute by minute
As decades unfold

The blood will rain
As the seconds pass
Centuries will come and go
Before time begins

It is the curse of life
To know the wait
When all time is lost

How many years
How many life spans
Till you release
Time has slipped away
And life is gone

Lonesome Grave

Lonesome Grave

When vengeance come
Swift as the night winds song
Life plays along

Verses of power
Played as the damned
By the demons tongue

The crowning of words
Spewing from my lips
Forged from the depths of my heart
As I lay down my soul
And accept the scorn

Forgiven in hate
I hide in my darkness
Forever in retribution

As my love lives alone
Bound to the pain
Of my lonesome grave

To Be Alive

To Be Alive

Now in death
I see the world
As it was meant to be

The arches of life
Breaching that golden glow
Of the distant sunrise
To wake the world
With natures grace

That clear azure sky
Rising through the darkness of night
Bringing with beauty
That pastel painting to life

The rolling hills
And distant trees
Living and alive
Fighting against the blindness
In a fools paradise

The sheen of distant waters
Breaching the oceans tide
Reaching for the heavens
Calling for peace to fly
As it washes through the mind

And as I lay me down
Each and every night
In the mental tomb of mans design
I still pray
For the world of life
To be alive

Touches the Sky

Touches the Sky

Come,
Let me show you
What it is to dream
What it is to believe

Let me show you
The cost of life

Take my hand
Don’t turn away
Because the ends never the same

Where you go
And what you may see
Will haunt your soul
From now till your dying day
If you wish to believe

There is no mortal being that can ease the pain
Once this journey begins
It doesn’t matter where you stand
It is the burden of life
To unfold and wither with time

That freshly placed dream
Of your candy coated trees
Vanquished in that rotting corpse of your flesh
Like a plague it remains
Damned to die in the mist of night
As its retribution comes

Unseen by mortal eyes
Trapped in its prism of despair
To the shame of all faith
While the truth to life
And even love
Rots in your mind

They breathe like fire and ice
Like love and hate
And in the end they bleed as one
Bearing the weight of faith
Burdened by a thousand lies
Before the sun even touch's the sky
