Can't 'ignore' a chat without being booted

Every time I have tried to 'ignore' an unwanted chat/user, I am booted and the entire chatroom reloads. Anyone know how to fix this glitch? Thanks!

Sorry to hear that is happening. You'll have to try the tech support forum for that one. first I've heard of it. Sometimes trying a different browser, like chrome, helps.

Are you on a PC or a mobile device?

Hi! Sorry, it's been a while, but still having this issue. I'm on a PC (Mac) and using Google Chrome.

Try Safari. Chrome writes a lot of their own code and that may be the issue. If I use Chrome on my Mac there are things I cannot do that I can in Safari.

I'm just going to jump in here for a second and point out that I exclusively use Chrome on Mac OSX for chat and have never ever had an issue.

On that note:. These sorts of issues are entirely client side issues. Most of the time they are connection related. I know this is not the answer anyone wants. I know y'all want an easy fix. But when it comes down to it, the answer usually is the least desirable in these cases: your internet service is to blame.

I'm not going to say that with 100% surety. You could have a strange incompatibility with the extensions you've installed on Chrome, or some weird confluence of variables no one else has encountered.

But none of it is anything that we, here, can really assist with, unfortunately.

Hi - I've tried the chat with Safari as well, same problem. I have really solid and fast internet service, never have issues with it and download things at crazy quick speeds. Not sure that this is client side here..?

It also is now happening on multiple accounts I have created, a problem which just began today on the second one.

Again, there are quite a few variables that can affect your connection over and above just the quality of your internet service.

If you need further assistance on the topic, I'm afraid you'll need to post in the tech support forum, as us mods are only really experts on chat moderation, and technical issues fall outside of our purview -- despite several of us being fairly savvy about them.
